Passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, October 18, 2018 of Exeter at the age of 77. Beloved wife of the late Leonard Sutton (1998). Cherished husband and friend of John Tester. Loving mother of Bob and Donna Sutton of London, and Debora and Ron Moes of London. Adored grandma of Tiffany, Emilie, and Joshua and Kim; Richard and Nicky, Laura, and Luke. Adored great-grandma of Mya, Lily, and Lillian. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Marg Upshall, and Stewart and Sharon Hayter. Predeceased by brother-in-law of Jack Upshall.

Visitation will be held at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, EXETER on Wednesday from 5-8 PM, where the memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 25th at 11 AM. Cremation with inurnment Exeter Cemetery.

Proud grandpa of Jody, Karen, Leslie, Scott, and Barry. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Betty Duncan, and Joe and Marion Duncan. Predeceased by his parents Ken and Anne Duncan, and his son Wayne Duncan.

Unexpectedly after a brief illness at South Huron Hospital with family by his side on Friday, October 19, 2018 of Exeter at the age of 55. Cherished husband of Deborah (Hodgson) Hayter for 20 years. Loving and devoted father of Megan (Sean), Evan, and Ally (Alex). Dear son of Louise (Holmes) Hayter and the late Ken (2014). Dear son-in-law of Wes and Christine Hodgson. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Linda and Larry Luther, Faye and Howard Schenk, Russell and Shelly Hayter, Dwayne Hayter and Joy Tyler, Kelly and John Rooney, Angela and Joe Ansems, Jennifer and Chris Mayhew, and Jason Hodgson. Mike will be truly missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and his furry companion Minnie. Mike will forever hold a spot on the Dressing Room 4 hockey team. A big thank you to Mike’s special care team at South Huron Hospital for their care and compassion.

After a good fight, Don passed away at Stratford General Hospital on Sunday, October 14, 2018 of St. Marys, formerly of Lucan, at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Margaret Jean (Schendera) Watt, and the late Audrey (Knowles) Watt. Dear and loving father of Debra and Ralph Pearce of St. Marys, and Diane Bosko and Larry Terriah of Cornwall. Dear and loving step-father of Deborah and Paul Marsden of Lucan, and Ted and Tammy Schendera. Dear grandfather of Meagan and Scott, and Monica and Jordon; Jackie and Stefan; Joshua and Lorna, and Karlee and David; Quincy, Alyssa, Brianna, and Thomas. Don was very excited about his two great-grandchildren who are on their way. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Bob Watt and Donna Chalkley of Woodstock, and Dave and Mary Ann Watt of St. Marys. Predeceased by his parents Tom and Hazel Watt, sister Dorothy, and brothers Jim, and Bill. Don was part owner of Watt Poultry Limited before purchasing Lucan Bowling Lanes, which he owned and operated for 35 years.

Peacefully in London,Ontario, with beloved family at her side, Catherine Ann Creech of Exeter, Ontario passed from this realm to the next. Ann is predeceased by her beloved parents, Frank Russell and Jean Marie (Sheere) Creech. She is survived by her cherished and adored younger brother Thomas Paul, and his wife Jacqueline Pugh, and also by several cousins, friends and neighbours. Special thanks to Doctor Ryan of the Huron Medical Centre, Exeter; doctors Cohen, Kumalo and Tancio of Victoria Hospital and all staff members at “Vic” and St. Joseph’s Hospice, London.

At Ann’s request there will be no service or visitation. Family and friends are invited for a celebration of Ann’s life (and lunch) to take place at Exeter United Church, 42 James Street, Exeter on Thursday, October 11 at 11:30 am, followed by Ann’s interment at 1:00 pm at Exeter Cemetery, 39650 Dashwood Road.

Suddenly and unexpectedly at South Huron Hospital on Sunday, September 30, 2018 of Exeter in his 91st year.  Beloved husband of the late Pauline (Robinson) Brintnell (1989).  Loving  father of Dan and Donna Brintnell of Exeter, Mike and Patty Brintnell of Exeter, and Bill Brintnell and Chetna Bhatt of London.  Cherished grandfather of Tomas Brintnell; Travis Brintnell, Connor Brintnell, and Abbey and Bart Rynen and great-grandfather of Zoey.   Dear brother-in-law of Ross and Marilyn Robinson of St. Marys, Wanda Robinson of Goderich, and June Hodgson of Exeter.   Predeceased by his parents Alvin and Irene Brintnell, and his siblings James, Madeline, Almira, Jack, Anita, Douglas, Frank and Etta.

Har owned and operated Har’s Body Shop, was involved in the standardbred horse industry, and was a proud volunteer fireman with the Exeter Fire Department for over 20 years.

Helen Elizabeth McKay passed away on September 27, 2018 at the age of 99. Helen was the daughter of the late Robert “Morris” and Emma Brown of Teeswater. Beloved wife of the late Hugh McKay. Loving and proud mother of the late Shirley Schuurs (Henry) and Barry Thiel (Karen). Dearest grandmother of Erin Schuurs and Melissa, Kaitlyn, Brandon and the late Samuel Thiel. Dearest great-grandma of Emma and Jacob Martinez. Helen admired Hugh’s girls, Bev and Karen and their children.  Dear sister of the late Bert Brown (Helen). Helen was close to and held in high regard the Thiels and their extended families that were part of her first husband’s family (Lewis). Helen worked at the Hensall District Co-op as an accountant for many years. She cherished her time there and absolutely loved her job. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Hensall and was also the treasurer. Helen was a natural caregiver and helped many relatives and friends throughout her time on earth.

Beloved husband of Theresa McAdam and the late Maria (Giesen) McAdam (1982). Loving father of Carla (Mark) Hunt of London, and loving godfather of Jen (Adam) Snell of St. Marys. Dave will be sadly missed by family and friends, especially his sister Joan (Bill) McConnell, and his brother Wes (Mirja) McAdam and their families. It is with great sadness that the we announce the passing of Madeline Marie Denomme, peacefully at home, with her family by her side on Wednesday, September 19th, 2018 at the age of 68.  Beloved wife and best friend for over 47 years to Paul Denomme. Beloved mother and mother-in-law to Jeremy Denomme (Louisa Bestard), Jennifer Newcombe (Kevin Newcombe), Rachelle Nguyen (Thuc Nguyen), and Danielle Denomme all of London. Cherished grandmother (Meme) to Halle Newcombe, Carson Newcombe, Leah Denomme, Julia Denomme, Sadie Denomme and Oliver Nguyen.  Treasured sister to Martha (Ken) Mungar of St. Joseph, Elaine (Pat) Jeffrey of St. Joseph, Catherine (late Roger) Shepherd of London. Dear sister-in-law to late Jean (John & Brenda) Regier,  late Larry (late Toni Martin) Denomme, and the late Peter (Marlene & George Harvey) Denomme. Predeceased by her parents Russell and Kathleen (Durand) Sreenan and her mother-in-law and father-in-law Adrien and Louise (Bedour) Denomme. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.  Madeline was a longtime member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Joseph, Ontario where she had their cottage.  As well as St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in London, Ontario. Madeline was well known for her strong faith and love of her family.  Madeline’s legacy of warmth and kindness is proudly survived through her family, wealth of friends and lives she has touched throughout her life.  She loved them wholeheartedly.  Family was her home. Though Cancer took her life, it never took her smile, spirit or determination and because of this Cancer did not win. Special thank you to all the amazing and caring staff at Victoria Hospital in the Oncology and Chemotherapy Unit.   Their compassion and kindness truly made a difference.

Nancy Lorraine Warwick passed away peacefully, with the love of her sisters by her side on Saturday, September 15, 2018 of Exeter at the age of 53. Lorraine was the cherished daughter of the late James (2002) and Nancy (2007) Warwick. She will be forever missed by her sisters and brother-in-law Diane and Randy Hoffman of Dashwood and Melanie Warwick Miller of Exeter. Special aunt “Meowie” to Jake and Jonathan Miller; and Corey and Cayla Hoffman. Lorraine will be missed by her aunts, uncles and many good friends. Though cancer took her life, it never took her smile, spirit or determination; and because of this, cancer did not win.

Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, Exeter on Tuesday evening from 7-9 PM where the memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 19 at 11 AM. Cremation with a private family interment will be held at the Exeter Cemetery at a later date.

Passed away peacefully at LHSC-University Hospital, London on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 of Exeter in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Wilber (Bill) Palmer (1984). Jean will be sadly missed by several cousins, nieces, nephews, and their families. Jean is predeceased by her parents George and Wilda Hepburn, and her brother Jack Hepburn. Jean was a faithful member of Exeter United Church. She cherished the friendship of her many good friends and neighbours.

Steven James Dettmer in his 65th year passed away in his home in Exeter on Monday, August 27, 2018.  He is survived by his daughter Sara Jane Haines, his son Steven Jacob Haines and his granddaughter Isabella Haines all of Owen Sound.  Also survived by his sisters Joan (Peter) Karstens of St. Joseph, Jane (Sam) Brady of Centralia, his brother David ‘String’ Dettmer of Centralia, his nephew Anthony (Jennifer) Humphreys, and great nieces Avigail and Adelaide of Etobicoke.

A celebration of Steve’s life will be held at the Exeter Legion, 316 William Street, Exeter, on Saturday, September 15 at 1 PM, service will begin at 2 PM.  A private family interment at the Exeter Cemetery will be held at a later date.  Haskett Funeral Homes, Exeter (519-235-1220) entrusted with arrangements.

Special friend to John McKeen of Ilderton. Dear sister of Larisa Furman. Natalia was known to be an avid walker, and now she is set free to walk alongside God. The family wishes to thank all of the staff at Victoria Hospital whom had involvement in Natalia’s care. A special thanks to the staff at Greyhound for their love and support.
