Peacefully, at Meaford Long Term Care Centre on Thursday, October 12, 2017 formerly of Markdale, in her 97th year. Beloved wife of 40 years to Ian Boyce. Dear mother of the late Eric Zimmerman and mother-in-love to Janet Cope. Adored Grandma of Martin Cope. Predeceased by brother Joe Cannon. She will be greatly missed by many nephews and nieces.

Aileen was born on January 30, 1921 in Toronto, having lived for some time in Philadelphia, which sparked the travel bug in her. Having been a world traveller she lived in Shanghai for 2 years, and also travelled Whales, Europe and much of the US. Aileen was part of many different groups over the years including the Glenelg Friendship group and the ladies group within the Church of Christ.

She loved classical music and spent many hours listening while gardening, with a particular love for daisies and delphiniums but more than anything she had a great love for her Church and church family.

The family will receive friends at the Church of Christ, Meaford (113 Nelson St W), on Saturday, October 21 from noon until the time of service at 1pm. Cremation has taken place. Loving mother of Daniel(Kathy) Graham of Feversham, Bill(Pam) Graham of Cincinnati, Peter(Cheryl) Graham of Owen Sound, Susan(Doug) Smith of Feversham and Frank(Faith) Shier of Maxwell. Loving grandmother of Kevin(Courtney) Graham, Jenna(Justin) Coe, Christopher(Tamara) Graham, Caitlyn(Ian) Graham, Jody(Mario) Graham, Kyle, Nathaniel, Hailey, Alysha, Quinn, Kurtis Shier and the late Corey Graham. Loved and remembered by her great grandchildren Corey, Ruby and Charly. Dear sister of Iris(Herb) Bechtel of Brampton and Sam(the late Shirley) Roberts of British Columbia. Predeceased by husband Clifford Graham, sisters Frances Conn, Phillys McGowan, Thelma Roberts and brother Jim Roberts. She will be sadly missed by her large extended family and friends.

Rilla was born in Osprey Township to Milton and Bertie Roberts. Rilla was a strong woman of faith who had unconditional love for everyone. Her family was the most important thing in her life. Her greatest joy was spending time with all the grandchildren. She was extremely proud of each and every one. They always brought a smile to her face.

After a battle with ALS, Clarence passed peacefully, surrounded by his family at Grey Gables Nursing Home, Markdale on Monday, September 25, 2017 in his 76th year. Beloved husband of 52 years to Linda(nee Krueger). Loving father of Wayne of Dundas and Sandra(Craig Campbell) of Orangeville. Loved and remembered by his grandchildren Justin and Teslyn Kopoulos and all of his family and friends

Clarence was born in Adjala, Ontario to Bert and Murial Dolson. He met and married his love, Linda, in 1965 and they had two beautiful children. He enjoyed very much his broomball, hunting, fishing, dancing, time with his family and took great pride in his John Deere tractor. Clarence will be remembered each time one of his friends hears a classic country song.

After a brief illness at Grey Bruce Health Services, Markdale on Friday, September 22, 2017 in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Victor Brown(1999). Greatly missed by numerous nieces and nephews, particularly Claudette, Penny, Anne, Audrey and Kervin, Marge and Ken. Special friend of Margaret Banks, Elizabeth MacLean, Jim McLeod and Sharon Heft and the late Harold Martin. Predeceased by siblings Douglas, Robert, George, Ted, Lillian, Winnifred, Ethel and Rosa.

Ruth was a devoted Christian and had loved her faith and church family. Born and raised in Montreal, she married Victor in 1957 and worked at Cominco until 1970 when they moved to Ontario and settled in Port Credit when she worked at Mount Sinai hospital for many years. Upon retirement, Vic and Ruth moved to the beautiful Grey County, settled outside Priceville and used the scenery as inspiration for her many beautiful artworks. Ruth loved her family and friends and will be deeply missed by many.

The family will receive friends at Gentle Shepherd Community Church on Wednesday September 27, 2017 from 12:30 until time of service in the chapel at 1:30pm. Cremation has taken place. Loved and remembered as Grandma or Nana to Kris(Jill), Jessica, Aimee(Jeff) McEachern, Lauretta, Danielle(JP) Smits, Natalie(Isaac) Pascucci, Justin and Bailey Trudgeon. Fondly remembered by her great grandchildren Killian, Elijah, Madeline, Rachael, Josh, Josiah, Liam, Gabrielle and Sophia. Dear sister of Jean and Syd of England. Life Story:

Olive was born in London, England on November 12, 1931 to Charlie and Emily Taylor.  Olive worked in a children’s nursery and then began her career as a professional dress maker.  Olive met the love of her life and they married in 1950. They, along with the two boys, moved to Canada in 1959 and expanded their family to include 2 girls. Olive enjoyed volunteering, contributing her time and talent to the UCW, 4H, The Agricultural Society and The Horticultural Society. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and flower arranging.   Most of all, Olive enjoyed her family and her garden.  She spent hours perfecting her garden which was included in a garden tour to be enjoyed by many.  She and George turned their love of antiques into a successful antique business called Cobwebs Antiques in Flesherton.

The family will receive friends at Fawcett Funeral Cremation Reception, Flesherton, on Thursday, September 28 from 7-9pm. Memorial service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Friday at 11am. It is with great sadness to announce the sudden death of Doug on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 of Holland Centre, formerly of Toronto, in his 71st year. Doug was born in Weston, Toronto on April 25, 1947 to the late June and Wilfred Morgan. He spent his childhood working farms in Brampton and enjoying the outdoors, he adored the rural life style. After working over 35 years in Oakville, Brampton and for the city of Toronto as a building inspector. He built many great relations in various trades over this time. His great passions were family, hunting and fishing. Doug and Nellie bought their dream property in Holland Centre in 2004, which brought him back to the country life he much adored.

George was born in London, England on February 5, 1932 to John and Rose Allen. He met the love of his life and they married there in 1950. They, along with the two boys, moved to Canada in 1959 and expanded their family. George discovered he had a knack for talking and turned that into a very successful career in sales.  George received an award as the top insurance salesman in North America for Prudential Insurance Company.  He was a dynamic salesman for Mascot Truck Parts and in his retirement George was able to use his sales and people skills and turn it into a successful antique business called Cobwebs Antiques in Flesherton.

Born in St. Vincent Township on April 16, 1934 to the late John and Pearl McDonald. Dear sister of Helen(Al) Dales, Alex(June) McDonald, David(Joan) McDonald and sister in-law of Muriel Hewgill. Loving aunt to numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. She is predeceased by sister Yvonne Wilson Walsworth(Jim Wilson and Bob Walsworth), brother Murray(Armol), sister in-law Hazel McNichol(Scottie), brother in-law Nobel Knox(Joan McBean) and Floyd Hewgill.

Irene was born in St. Vincent Township but moved to Collingwood Township as a teenage  and lived there for the rest of her life. She was a teacher for over 30 years in various schools in the township. She will always be remembered as generous in nature and devoted to her family, friends and community.

A celebration of Irene’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Kolapore Calvary Church of the Nazarene at 11:00am. Cremation and interment with Lloyd at the Clarksburg Union Cemetery have taken place. Dear brother to Charles and Beatrix Black, Ann and Ralph Hollis and brother in-law to Carol Black and Kay Black. Predeceased by his sister Marie and brothers Raymond and Bill and infant daughter. Haggard will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Sadly missed by son Kevin Black of Guelph, daughters  Marcie(Garth) Lowry of Sawyerville, Quebec, Deanna(Ashly) Geraghty of Yellowknife, North West Territories, and son Gary. Loving grandfather of Patrick, Kimberly, William, Alexandria, Katherine and Andrea.

Murray worked 45 years as a heavy equipment operator and continued this work right up to last week. Known as Haggard for his love and skill with the guitar, and thoroughly enjoyed singing and dancing. He took great pride in property, constantly planting trees and keeping the cedar hedges trimmed.

Peter Bassitta passed away peacefully in his home with his entire family by his side on Friday March 24th, 2017, just 5 days before his 89th birthday.
He will always be remembered by the love of his life, Leonore, who were together for 53 years, his 3 girls and their families, |Barbara and Mike Minnick and daughters,|Carolyn and Natalie, Susanne and Del Wilmot and their children, Jenna and Graham, and Nicola and Scott Osborne and their children, Peter and Erin, and nephew Juergen Trotz.
He was a WW II vet and immigrated to Canada in 1956 and began his new life in Toronto. He soon married Leonore in 1965 and together had 3 girls in the years following. They purchased their dream farm in Proton Station in 1975 and over the years made it the centre of all of the family, and where he remained until his final days. He always said he was the richest man on earth, all he needed was his family by his side, good food, good beer and a wonderful home to enjoy them all in.
The family would like to thank Dr. Winfield for his kindness and caring over the years, the Waterloo Wellington CCAC and all the wonderful nurses, |PSW’s and all the kind caring people that helped so much when he needed it the most. Surrounded by the love of his family, he was able to make his final journey with comfort and dignity.

At his home, Grey Gables Nursing home, with his daughter by his side, Tom passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, March 3, 2017 of Markdale, formerly of Oakville, in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Audrey(2007). Loving father of Karen(Fred) Robinson, David, Larry(Eleanor), Virginia, Alan, Edy(Larry Booth), Chuck(Lesley), Billy(Roseanne) and the late David. Loved and remembered by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Tom was predeceased by one grandson and one great grandson.
Tom was stationed in many locations including; Morocco, Germany and Borden, ON among other. He lived for his children, his jeopardy and crosswords. Tom always enjoyed a good laugh, being quite the jokester.

Suddenly, after a morning spent with his love, Joe passed away at his residence in Proton Station on Sunday, February 26, 2017 in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Angela(nee Ungaro) for over 60 years. Loving father of Lina(John) Savio, Lisa(Frank) Giglio and the late Joe(Feb. 28, 2016). He was the cherished grandfather of Anthony, Stephanie, Kristine Savio, Fabiano and Analisa Giglio and great grandfather to Nickolas. Peacefully at her home in Priceville on Friday, February 10, 2017 in her 80th year. She is reunited with her beloved husband Alfred(2012). Loving mother of Wallace(Jo-Anne) of Tottenham, Paul(Marilyn) of Priceville, Bruce(Debbie) of Markdale, Janice(Ken Alderman) and Susan Odell all of Priceville. Loved and remembered by grandchildren Stephanie and David Odell, Laura(Bryan) Elford, Kristin(Brian) Schnurr, Jonathan and Brittany, Belinda (Clayton Shaw), Alicia(Curtis) Rodrigue and great-grandmother of Alex, Carson, Alfred, Audrey, Holden and one on the way. Lorene is survived by her sister Velda Hindle and many nieces and nephews.

Lorene had a true passion for her family and her farming; enjoying every moment with her children and grandchildren. Over the years she was ambitious with her catering and the booth at the Stothart Ball Diamond, her baseball but most of all music and dancing. While she hadn’t quilted in a few years, she was determined that she should get back to her horseback riding.

The family will receive friends at Fawcett Funeral Home, 1 Highland Drive, Flesherton, on Monday, February 13, 2017 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Service from the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 11am. After a trying battle with Alzheimer’s Disease, Lynne passed peacefully at Grey Gables Nursing Home, Markdale on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 in her 71st year. Beloved wife of Alan for 50 years. Loving mother of John(Yvonne) of Cambridge and Paul(Lori) of Kitchener. Loved and remembered by grandchildren Amy, Scott, Cameron and Mia. She will be greatly missed by her twin sister Suzanne(Alan) Humphrey of Ballantrae.  Predeceased by parents Frederick and Ruby Clark.

Lynne graduated Acadia University, majoring in Biology, in 1967 were she met the love of her life. Lynne loved the beaver valley for her gardening and skiing. An active member of the Markdale Horticultural Club.

Beloved husband of Michelle (nee Bond). Loving father of Emily Louise. Loved and remembered by his grandbunny Thumper. Survived by his Mother Pearl Campbell – Hopkins (Norman), Mother-in-law Claire Bond, Sister Stephanie Hill (Michael), Brother Brent Campbell, Step-sister Cathy Quinlan (Brian), Step-brother John Hopkins, Brother-in-law Gregory Bond (Sharon), and Brother-in-law Jeffery Bond (Wanda). He will also be greatly missed by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father Ross Campbell, father-in-law Gordon Bond, and Stepbrother Bill Hopkins (Barbara).

At Collingwood General and Marine Hospital, Collingwood on Monday, January 2, 2017 formerly of Feversham in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Wilfred(2011). Loving mother of Harvey(Elaine) and best friend to daughter June Dawson. Loved and remembered by grandchildren Christina(Jason) Stephens, Pamela(Dave) McIlwraith and 3 great grandchildren; Jordan, Jesse and Jaelyn. Mildred will be missed by sister Vera Bowbyes, nephew Ian and niece Lorna. Predeceased by nephew Kenny.

Mildred’s greatest joy in life was being a mom. She spent many years at home taking care of her family, and for this she was very proud. In her later years, she enjoyed relaxing and watching Harvey’s cows graze while listening to songs by George Strait.

Suddenly on Monday, December 19, 2016 of Feversham in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of the late Glenn(2006). Dear sister of Robert “Bob” Bell. Loving mother of Greg(Marilyn Ruth) of Feversham, Marilyn Anne(Rae) Collins of Priceville and Sandra(David) Hatcher of Sacramento, California. Loved and remembered by Jennifer(Neil) Watson, Matthew(Meredith) Short, Danielle Short, David(Nicole) Collins, Robert(Rosie) Collins, Kelly(Joey) Badgecar and great grandmother of Benjamin, Alexandra, Grady, Grace and Savannah and one on the way. Joan is survived by brothers in-law Ivan(Terry) Short of Etobicoke and Wayne(Lorna) Short of Oakville. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Joan married her love on August 27, 1955 in Toronto. They moved to Feversham and purchased Short’s Store in 1982 operating it until retirement in 1995. Joan loved supporting all of Glenn’s endeavours including the kinsmen, the Feversham Fall Fair and her quilting with friends. Her true passion was Christmas and having her family together.

Dear father of Drew of Flesherton, Lori(James) Cannon of Seagrave, Heidi(Jim) Dimakos of Feversham and Chris(Leanne) of Arthur. Loved and remembered by grandchildren Tef, Brad, Nate, Gabe Ferris, Marley, Carter, Ethan Cannon, Emily, Magda Dimakos, Lily and Jasmine Ferris. Dear brother of Colleen(the late Jack) Knowles of Red Bay and John(Shirley) Ferris of Creemore and brother in-law of Paul(Gail) of Singhampton and Peter(Glenda) Hayes of Maxwell. Wayne graduated from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants in the top 20 in Canada in 1967. He practised as a public accountant for over 40 years with the latter being his own practice in Maxwell. His passions were farming, family, community and faith. Telling stories and laughing were among his favourite pastimes but his family was his pride and joy.
