On Thursday, May 23, 2013, Brent Lee Chappelle, age 39 of Sarnia passed away. He was the dear husband of Jennifer Gray, loving father of Darian and Kendra, loving son of Phillip (Yvonne) and the late Trudy Chappelle, brother of Herb, Jolene, Dylan and Hollie. Several nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as associated family and friends also survive. Brent loved his family, fishing, lacrosse and hockey. A celebration of Brent’s life will be held at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 102 N. Victoria Street, Sarnia, ON, on Wednesday, May 29th at 11:00 am. Marilyn will be forever missed by her daughters Brenda and her husband Ray Maola and Carrie and her husband Bryan Ball. Cherished Nanny of David and Stacey Maola, Dan and Lindsay Maola, Deena and Craig Little, Ryan and Christopher Ball and her adopted grandson Michael Dumont. Treasured Great Grandmother of Jack and Samuel Maola and future Baby Maola. Dear sister of Betty Anne Hardy, Lynda (Jim) Bond, John (Lynda) Brock, Dave Brock. Predeceased by her husbands William (Bill) Goulding (1979) and Melville (Mel) Miller (2001) and her parents Wilfred (2007) and Ruth (2012) Brock. Survived and loved by many nieces and nephews, cousins and aunt Marion Claxton and her furry grandsons Max, Sunny and Brady. Marilyn will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. Marilyn was a loving and generous person who enjoyed the company of her family and friends more than anything. The simple things in life were her favourites, watching TV, playing cards with family and shopping with her daughters and granddaughter. She also worked for the Lambton County Board of Education at St. Clair Secondary School for 16 years and at Northern Collegiate for 9 years. The family would like to thank the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Bluewater Health and Dr. G. Maddison for their special care of our Mom. Also a thank you to the staff and residents at Residence on the St. Clair for their kindness to our Mom during her brief but happy stay. And Mom wanted us to give special thanks to her sister Betty Anne for being her guardian angel through her illness and for being such a wonderful sister and best friend. Resting at the D. J. Suddenly in Niagara Falls on Friday March 29, 2013 LAWRENCE (HOSS) EVERETT WRIGHT age 61 of Sarnia. Beloved husband of Debbie (Dobson) Wright. Loving father of Pam Wright and her companion Scott Connors, Colleen Wright and her companion Kevin Downer. Cherished grandfather of Brieanne, Katie and Austin. Dear brother of Susan Boire and Rob (Gloria) Wright. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Brother in law of Tom (Trudy) Moore, Peter (Sue) Kerwin, Debbie (Arron) Crawford and special family friend Rose, Dorothy and Sidney. Predeceased by his parents Austin and Gwen Wright. Hoss worked at Cope Construction for over 30 years and had just recently retired. Resting at the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTRE where services will be held on Wednesday April 3 at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation.

HIGGINS, Floyd Michael (Mike) – Surrounded by his family at Sumac Lodge, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the age of 91, husband to Marian Higgins (Donald) for 68 years. Father of Roseiley (Jim) Dewulf, Michael and Randy (Linda). Grandfather to Stephen, Lauren, Kelly and Ian. Great grandfather of Eileen, A.J. and Evelynn Mumby. Mike was a veteran of the Royal Canadian Navy and served in WWII. He worked at Mueller Brass for over 47 years. Special Thanks to the staff of Sumac Lodge for their care and compassion. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Mike’s life will be held from the Chapel of the D.J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Tuesday, April 2nd at 11:00 am. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 10:00 am until service time. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Manny-WebDr. Amandus (Manny) Christian Kohlmeier; December 9th, 1921 – March 25th, 2013. Peacefully and surrounded by the love of his family, Manny Kohlmeier died in Sarnia at Bluewater Health on Monday March 25th, 2013, at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Margaret (2006). Loving father of Manny Kohlmeier and his partner Nancy of Sarnia, Erica Matheson and her husband Joe of Brooklin, ON, Kendra Chopcian and her husband Garry of Oshawa, Jace Kohlmeier and his wife Denise, Guy Kohlmeier and his wife Julie all of Sarnia. Cherished Poppa of Shannon (Shawn Creamer) Kohlmeier, Chris (Apryll) and Spencer Matheson, Chelsea (Andrew) Attwell and Zach Chopcian, Amy, Aly and Kristin Kohlmeier, Jamie and Mallory Kohlmeier, Tim (Sara) and Taylor Lea, Rob (Yin) Dickenson and Alex Turner. Great Grandfather of Wyatt and Violet Creamer. Predeceased by his parents Rev. Paul C. and Aminda Kohlmeier, brothers Paul and William and sister Dorothy and daughter-in-law Pamela Kohlmeier. Manny was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He married Margaret, his wife of 58 years, and graduated from medical school in 1948. After obtaining post-graduate training at Harper Hospital in Detroit Michigan, the family moved to Sarnia and Manny established an obstetrics and gynecology practice in 1956. He was a dedicated and compassionate doctor who also served as Chief of Obstetrics and Chief of Staff at St. Joseph’s and Sarnia General Hospitals. Manny retired from medicine in 1992. He was respected and appreciated by his patients, nurses, fellow doctors and all medical staff for his years of devotion to his patients and the medical profession. Manny was an avid golfer and a long time member of the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club. He loved classical music, business adventures, traveling and the company of his family. Manny will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. The family would like to thank the caring nursing and support staff at Bluewater Health for their dedication and compassion. Special thanks are extended to Doctors Shetty, MacKinlay and Wong. Friends will be received on Thursday, March 28th from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at D.J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre. A celebration of Manny’s life will be held in the chapel at D.J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Friday, March 29th at 1:00 p.m. Friends will be received one hour prior to service time. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to Bluewater Health, The Salvation Army or The Breast Cancer Society of Canada.
