At Strathroy Middlesex General hospital on Sunday, May 18th, 2013 in his 91st year. Glen Nelson Shea of Watford. Beloved Husband and best friend of Dorothy for 66 years. They were married on July 8th, 1947 and lived in Watford all their married lives. Glen`s parents were Robert and Mabel Shea of Plympton Township. Glen spent three years with the R.C.A.F. during war times. He returned to Watford and worked at the P.U.C. for 30 years. Glen is survived by 5 nieces and nephews; Bill (Joan) Shea of Forest, Beth (Murray) Karr of Lambeth, Anne (Chuck) St. Louis of Sarnia, Sheila (Marty) Banninga of Sarnia, Dave (Paula) Shea of Plympton and by Paul Wilkinson (predeceased). Glen was very appreciative of all the love and support from his nieces and nephews over the years. Evelyn was predeceased by her parents,  David (1951) and Pearl (1952) Lucas, her husband, Burton (1989), her son-in-law, Jim Watson (2007), her sister, Margaret Hands (1995), her sisters-in-law, Margaret and Mary Morgan, and her brothers-in-law, Clayton, Ken and Laverne Morgan, Roy Caley and Ross Fraser. Evelyn was a member of Trinity Anglican Church and the A.C.W. at the church. web photoTheresa Darline Schnekenburger (nee Willie) of West Lorne passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital, on Friday, April 5, 2013 in her 84th year.  Predeceased by her husband Raymond in 1999.   Loved mother of Katherine and her husband Stephen Read of Mississauga, Brenda and her husband Brian Leader of Richmond Hill and Joe Schnekenburger and his wife Terri of Kingsville.  Much loved grandmother of Kimberly, Gillian and Kelly Read, Jessica, Corinne and Leigh-Katherine Leader, Kaydee (Mike) Richmond, Jake (Stephanie) Schnekenburger and Daniel (Kathleen) Schnekenburger and her great grandson Warren Richmond.  Dear sister of Joe, Alphonse and Gerald Willie.  Predeceased by her brothers Richard and Leo Willie and her sister Elizabeth Popovich.

With grace and dignity, Margaret passed away at her residence on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at the age of 71 years.

CAMPBELL: Mr. Kenneth of Sarnia (Formerly of Toronto, Ontario)

Passed away at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Friday, March 29, 2013, at the age of 84 years, following a lengthy illness.  He leaves behind his wife of almost 65 years, Evelyn Bernice Campbell; his daughters Kendra (John), Debra (Larry), Pamela (Ray), his son Brad (Christine), and his grandchildren Dawn, Natalie, Stephanie, Christina, and his sisters Judith, Jennifer, and Gwyneth.  Predeceased by his brothers John and Bert, sisters Dorothy and Laurie, his parents John and Florence, and his step-mother Agnes.

 

After 46 years as a butcher with Canada Packers, Ken retired in 1991.  He was an exceptional bowler and an avid golfer.  Billiards was his game of choice in his senior years.  Ken was proud of his family.  He worked hard to provide a comfortable home and a good life for his wife and children.  Ken and Bernice relocated to Bluewater Country in Sarnia in 2009 where they enjoyed the friendship of many fellow retirees, good times with the Rosina family, and visits from out of town family.  Ken was always happiest when his family was gathered around him.  He will be missed by family and friends.

1929-2013.  Passed away peacefully on Monday, April 1, 2013, at Marshall Gowland Manor in Sarnia where she had resided for four years.  Before that she had lived in Bright’s Grove, Stokes Bay, and Lindsay Township.  She was predeceased by her parents Duncan and Margaret (McLay) Shearer and by her two husbands John R. “Jack” Buchanan (2011) and McIver “Cive” Burley (1971).  She was also predeceased by her sister Marion Isabel “Tiny” Shearer Burley Moloy and her brothers Archie, Clinton, Kenneth, Garnet, Sheldon, George and Norman.  She is survived by and sadly missed by her children Patsy (Kirby) Burley Lucas of Saint John, New Brunswick, Terry (Sue) Burley of Owen Sound and Mary Ann Burley Lougheed (Don Pearce) of Sarnia.  Her loss is also deeply felt by brothers Carl (Sandra) Shearer of Lion’s Head and Keith Shearer of Welland and by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Nupsy was a loving, thoughtful caregiver her entire life helping her mother with her younger brothers and then taking over their care completely when her mother passed away in 1944.  Everyone who knew her was touched by her kind and generous hospitality and enjoyed her delicious home cooking, especially her butter tarts.  Nupsy was a member of the Women’s Institute in Stokes Bay and the Ladies Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 202 in Lion’s Head.  Friends may call at the FOREST CHAPEL OF DENNING FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 9 James Street South, Forest, on Friday, April 5, 2013, from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm.  A Memorial Service will take place in the chapel at 2:00 pm.  Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery.  For those who wish, in memoriam donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.  Online condolences may be left at www.denningfuneralhome.com  Posted free at canadaobits.ca

card frontPeacefully, at Beattie Haven, Wardsville on Tuesday, April 2, 2013.  Robert Coles of Rodney in his 95th year.  Predeceased by his wife Phyllis (Jackson) in 2010.  Survived by his son William of Rodney and his daughter Lori of St. Thomas.  Also survived by his sister Helen Gray and her husband Alex of Bothwell.  Robert was a longtime councilor in Rodney and along with his father operated Rodney Flour Mills.
