Beloved husband of 55 years to Jeannine (née Pelland) Vézina. Loving father of Ginette (Vito Repele), Donald, André (Mellaney Dahl) and Nicole (Dominic Jacot). Cherished grandfather of Dayna, Josée, Erica, Jayde, Olivia and Timothy. Predeceased by his siblings; Armand, Lionel, Arthur, Omer, Edouard, Victor, Joseph, Lucille, Alma and Simone. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Beloved father of Mignonne (Denis Lauzon) of Azilda, Claude (Marie-Claire) and Viviane Gowan (Bob) both of Chelmsford and Jean of Ottawa. Predeceased by his son Gérard (Donna of Chelmsford). Predeceased by his siblings Aimée Brosseau (late Hervé), Aldège (late Olina), Yvette Pharand (late Maurice), Aurèle (Ida of Chelmsford), Florent (late Noëlla), Roger (Juliette of Chelmsford) and Hélène Fletcher (late Mickey). Cherished grandfather of Pierre, Lynn, Gerri-Lee, Angela, Daniel, Trevor, Michel, Tisha and Johanne. Great-grandfather of Abigayle, Cédric, Emily, Julia, Nathan, Hailey, Joshua, Owen, Alicia, Arianne, Kate and Kye. Conrad enjoyed many different hobbies after retiring from being a bus driver for the Sudbury Catholic Board of Education. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening and he thoroughly enjoyed his long winter walks in the bush. He was a longtime member of the Rayside-Balfour Senior Craft Shop in Chelmsford and loved woodworking and playing cards with the members. Special acknowledgement to the staff at the St. Gabriel Villa in Chelmsford for the special care and attention given to our father. He enjoyed to banter with the staff and always felt at home at the Villa. Wife of the late Jean Baptiste Lalonde (predeceased in 1968) and Joseph Pagé (predeceased in 1988). Loving mother of Albert (Rita), Germain (Kathie), Edouard (Shirley), Roger (Monette), Jean-Paul (Carolyn), Jules (Lilliane), Maurice (Judy), Réjeanne Gauthier (Donald), Marcel (Lorraine), Jeannette “Jan” Lalonde, Thérèse Legault (late Gérald – Cam Coulter), Richard and Victor (Claire). Predeceased by her son Réjean (Loretta). Bertha will be greatly missed by all of her 34 grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren, 8 great great-grandchildren as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Daughter of the late Alcide and Rose Lafortune (née Beaulieu). Beloved wife of more than 64 years to the late Armand Savard of Azilda. Cherished mother of Jacques (Claude) of Rockland, Rachelle of Sudbury, Françoise Dalcourt (Ronald) and Gerry (Annette) both of Azilda, Agnès Lemieux (Gilbert) of Val Caron, Aimé (Darlene) of Greely, Ronald (Danielle) and Donald both of Aylmer, Qc. Memère will be sadly missed by her 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Agnès Lafortune, Claire Chippure (late Lornie), Lucille Pitre (late Hormidas) and Albertine Lafrenière (late Romeo). Predeceased by her sisters, Florida Daoust, Alice Lafortune, Estelle Landry and her brothers Alphonse, Noel, Ernest and Henri. Also predeceased by her two angels, grandson André Dalcourt and great-grandson Anthony Lemieux. Lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The focus of our mother’s life was her home where she took great pride in caring for her family. She enjoyed cooking and knitting. Memories of our family gatherings are our keepsake with which we will never part. She was a member of the “Fédération des femmes canadiennes françaises” and she enjoyed playing cards at the “Club d’Age d’Or” of Azilda with our father. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all the nurses and staff of St-Gabriel’s Villa, Chelmsford and Maison Vale Hospice, Sudbury for the kind and compassionate care given to our mother. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4691 RR 15, Chelmsford, Tuesday, September 16, 2014 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Ste Agnès Church, Azilda. DUGUAY, ArmandThe family announces with great sorrow his passing in Sudbury on Tuesday, September 9th, 2014 at the age of 72 years. Beloved husband of Claudette Duguay of Azilda. Missed by his children Lynn Smith (Calvin), Hélène Duguay and Colette Duguay. Dear brother of Murielle Gagné, Yvonne Paquette, Rollande Mallette and Jeannine Racine. Predeceased by his siblings Lionel, Gérard, Conrad, Laurent, Laurette Humphrey, Armand and René. Cherished grandfather of Christopher Smith, Adam Smith, Patricia Smith, Trista Duguay, Jessie Duguay, Connor Ross, Brenden Duguay, Danica Whissell, Mathieu Whissell, Emma Card, Gary Card and great-grandfather of Cascada Duguay-Parson. Armand retired in 1987 after 24 years of service. He was a hoistman, driller and a cage tender for INCO. He was an avid bowler and card player, but music was always his #1. In his spare time, Armand did volunteer for over 12 years. In keeping with Armand’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Ste-Agnès Church, Azilda on Saturday, September 20th, 2014 at 11 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to the Cooperative Funeral Home, Sudbury.
