Son of the late Auguste Isaac and of the late Eva (née Lessard) Gendron. Beloved husband of Rita (née Giroux) Gendron of Azilda. Loving father of Richard Gendron (late Lise) of Azilda and Luc Gendron of Sudbury. Predeceased by his son Cléo Gendron (also known as Colin Mason). Predeceased by all his brothers and sisters, Herman (his twin), Charlie (Alma), Edmond (Georgette), Louis (Lois), Daniel (Violet), Clara Perreault (Wilfrid), Mirian Secord (Pete) and Violet Charette (Raymond). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Dear brother of Dan Unrau (Michelle) of Sudbury, Lisa McBain (Greg) of Capreol and Eddy Unrau (Sherri) of Azilda. Sadly missed by his nieces and nephews Kayla, Brittany, Josh, Rylee, Bradyn, Ava, great-niece Ameah and great-nephew Landon. Lovingly remembered by many colleagues and friends; too many to mention. Corporal John was an armored crewman in the Canadian Armed Forces and was proud to serve his country. KOZICKI, EdwardThe family announces with great sorrow his passing at St. Gabriel’s Villa, Thursday, July 2, 2015 in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of 65 years to Stefania (nee Serafin) Kozicki. Dear father of Lily Jutras (Ray), Irene Kozicki (Ray Watier), Edward Jr. (Mariette), Richard, Susan Kozicki-Pan (Tony), Kristina Kozicki (Glen Brisson) Stanley, Michael (Boomer his pet dog) and predeceased by his son Tady Kozicki. Cherished grandfather to Sasha, Tiffany, Maggie (Scott), Stefanie (Dave), Ryan (Jenna), Chad (June), Chelsea, Nicholas (Ashley), Jason and Jeffrey. Edward was born in Borki, Poland on August 2, 1923. He bravely served in WWII and was a proud member of the Sudbury Polish Combatant Association. He immigrated to Canada in 1948 and retired from INCO after 34 years of service. He was well respected, honest, hardworking and a generous man who was a good provider and committed to his family. In his early years, he enjoyed fishing and in his later years, his passion was woodworking, antiques and taking Mama to yard sales. Huge thank you to the staff members as St. Gabriel’s Villa for taking such good care of Edward. Special thanks to Lynn Bass for your personal care, compassion and hugs. Sister of Bob Chartrand (Theresa) and sister of Betty Guenette (Roger). Loving aunt of many nieces and nephews. Diane was very involved in the community, especially the Daughters of Isabella. She held the highest position in Canada for the English section of the Daughters of Isabella as state Regent, a lector at her church, past president of St-Charles College, past secretary of the advisory board for the residents of Extendicare Falconbridge, volunteered with CNIB for 30 years, a member of the CWL St. Andrew the Apostle church, she will be remembered for her love of people and her family. Boyd was born on October 16, 1937 in Kent County, New Brunswick and grew up with a strong dedication to work and family. He moved to Ontario at the age of 14 and lived with his oldest brother Randy and his wife Dorothy. At the age of 18 he moved to Sudbury to live with his brother Harry and his wife DeeDee and found work. He met and married the love of his life on August 9th, 1958 and raised a family in Garson, Ontario. He was an exceptional role model; he was patient, kind and generous with his love and was always willing to share his knowledge. He enjoyed sports, music, nature, cards, tinkering with his truck, puttering in the yard, just being outdoors and spending time with his family and friends. Boyd will be remembered for his most hardy laugh. He had a quick wit and he truly loved to make people laugh with his never ending sense of humour. You could always count on “Boydie” to give you the best hugs that could just brighten your day. Even though there will be many tears being shed here on earth, note that there will be much laughter in heaven. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. LAFORGE, BrunoWith great sorrow, the family announces his passing on June 9, 2015, at the age of 85. Predeceased by his loving wife Léonida (née Poulin). Beloved father of Denis (Nicole), Ronald (Marlene), and Robert (Naomi) Laforge. Proud grandfather of Michel (Élyse), Mathieu, André, Morgan, Cooper, Charlize, and Marissa. His career spanned 37 years at INCO. During his retirement, he enjoyed woodworking, fishing, outdoor activities, long drives, and time with his family. He is remembered as a warm, relaxed, humorous, and good-natured man. The family wishes to thank the staff at Elizabeth Centre and Health Sciences North for their excellent care. A commemorative funeral service will take place Friday, June 12, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the Ste-Agnès Church, Azilda. The family announces with great sorrow her passing in Sudbury, Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at the age of 84 years. Wife of the late Arnold Cranston. Predeceased by her parents Ludger and Amanda (née Bouchard) Michel. Beloved mother of Carolyn Semenuk (William J.) of Sudbury. Cherished grandmother of Wesley Semenuk. Loving sister of Georgette Rochon (Reg), Arnel (Laurette), Gerald (Jeannine) and Marcel (late Pauline). Predeceased by her siblings Victor (late Penny), Gloria Richard (Paul) and Thérèse Lackmanec (late John). Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Flora worked and was retired from Venture Inn. She also worked for the Sudbury Star for many years. She started Gloria’s Restaurant with her sister and owned Loach’s Confectionary and the Skyliner Coffee Shop with her husband. Flora was creative and full of artistic talent. Her oil paintings and quilts will be treasured forever. She will be remembered as a kind, giving and loving person who cherished above all else her family, friends and her strong faith in God. Thank you to all the staff at Extendicare Falconbridge, especially on the 4th floor, for their wonderful care.
