Daughter of the late Wasily and of the late Lena (née Bersina) Ostrowski. Predeceased by her sister Halachka. Beloved mother of Linda Headrick (Mac) and late André Lanteigne (Denise). Cherished grandmother of Danielle, Chantal, Mac Jr., Sean and Kaytee. Dear sister-in-law to Alyre (Madeleine) of Sturgeon Falls, Eddy (Levina) of Laval, Que., Claude (Edmonde) of Caraquet, N.B., and Jeannine Gaudreau (late Larry Pilon) of Sudbury. Predeceased by her brother-in-laws Neil, Leopold, Gerard, Theodore, Alfred, Vernon and Paul-Emile. Vera was a kind hearted soul who enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the cottage. She leaves many cherished memories of good family celebrations. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and by her pets. Beloved husband of Lynn Michel and loving father of Patrick and Lianne (Sam). Dear brother of Brigitte, Claude, Bruno (Jennifer), Mario (Isabelle) and Valérie. Dear son-in-law of late Arnold and Marie-Rose Dupuis and brother-in-law of Marc Dupuis (Liette) and Claude Dupuis (Lynn). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, good friends and neighbors. Co-owner of A & J Hardware, Marc was born and raised in Sudbury. Jack of all trades, he was a hardworking man and his creativity knew no bounds. Marc enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His love for them was unwavering and they could always count on him. He was an avid outdoorsman. Marc was a kind and gentle man with a wonderful sense of humour. A special thanks to all the doctors, nurses and others that provided Marc with care. He was well liked and respected by his fellow officers. Cherished step-father of Anna Lacoursière (Randy) of Sudbury and predeceased by his step-son Alain Lacoursière (late Kerrie Leblanc). He is survived by 2 brothers and 5 sisters and predeceased by 3 brothers. Sadly missed by many grandchildren, great- grandchildren and step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mr. Lortie was a retired Geologist with Falconbridge Ltd. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved prospecting in his spare time. He also enjoyed spending his winters in Florida with his wife. Harry was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 564, Lockerby and a member of the War Pensioners, Fred Vincent Branch, Sudbury. In keeping with Harry’s wishes there will be no visitation. Interment in Spanish will take place in the Summer of 2015. Gates was the proud owner of Gates Mechanical and was an exceptional mechanic, who repaired heavy equipment in the Sudbury area. LAVIGNE, ColetteOn Nov. 11th, 2014 at the age of 87, Colette passed away peacefully at the hospital after a brief illness.  She was predeceased by her parents Osias and Hermine Charette, her loving husband Armand, her son Pat, her sister Alliette and brother Dan. She is survived by her children; Robert (Lorraine), Pat (deceased), (Reina), Jo-Anne Cross (Ted), Pauline Desbiens (Rene), Carole Desaulniers (Claude) and by her sister Pauline Rhuda.Memere will be greatly missed by her 12 loving grandchildren;Liane Laquerre (Marc), Rob, Tim, Jeff (Jamie), Patrick (Victoria), Chris Cooney, (Allison), Ryan Cooney, (Joni), Josh Cooney (Cara),Jennifer Madott (Matt), Christie Desbiens, Joel Desaulniers (Maria), Julie Labelle (Jamie) and10 great-grandchildren. Colette enjoyed a simple life in which her greatest pleasure came from sharing time with her family. Her everlasting smile and good mood will always be cherished.
