Predeceased by her parents Siméon and Émilie (née Gosselin) Trudeau. Loving mother of Dianne Aubrey-Greene (Clyde) and Daniel Aubrey (Jane). Predeceased by her daughter Joanne. Dear sister of Gilberte Lavoie (late Dieudonné). Predeceased by her brother Albert Trudeau (late Lina). Cherished grandmother of Michelle Sampson (Randy), Nathan Aubrey (Stacey), Matthew Aubrey (Alison) and great grandmother of Eric Sampson, Danielle Sampson, Levi Aubrey and Evelyn Aubrey. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Marguerite had a great love for animals, especially cats. She enjoyed crafts, loved to travel, was a caring person with a heart of gold and was happy go-lucky. She will be sadly missed and forever in our hearts. In keeping with Marguerite’s wishes there will be no visitation. A private family service will be held at a later date. Son of the late Lucien and Honora Mailloux (née Leahy). Loving father to Denise Paquette (Gilles), Suzanne Mailloux-Meeks (Ross), Monique Van de Ligt (Ted), Nicole Serafini and Marc Mailloux (Bonnie). Predeceased by his brothers Alfred, Louis, Bernard and Eugène Mailloux as well as his sisters Laura Lavoie and Jeanne Richardson. Pete is survived by his sisters Marie Brennan, Patricia Lavender and Lucille Leroux (Bert). He loved his grandchildren Angèle, Renée, André, Joel, Chantal, Michelle, Jessica, Chelsea, Julie, Jennie and Marc. His great-grandchildren Kailey, Tanner, Mia, Ryland, Torrance, Maddyn, Breanna, Leighton, Zoey and Hunter will have fond memories. He will be greatly missed my many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Pete enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, bird watching, travelling (especially to Florida) and playing cards, mostly cribbage and euchre. Everyone knew and appreciated him for his quirky sense of humor and commitment to daily long walks. Loving mother to Barbara Matthews (Marcel Larivière) and Bill Matthews (Nicole Leroux). Wonderful grandmother to Melissa and Daniel Larivière. Survived by her siblings Raymond Poitras (Françoise), Yolande Démoré (Claude), Claude Poitras (Suzanne), Pauline Brabant (Jean-Claude) and Colette Pilon (Denis). She was greatly treasured by many nieces, nephews and all of her cherished Facebook friends. She was an avid gardener who loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time on the family farm. Yvette was also known as an excellent babysitter. Diana not only touched the heart of those who knew her but she filled our hearts. Cherished daughter of Eleonore and Fred who stood by her side through all the ups and downs and never stopped believing in her. Beloved wife of 40 years to Maurice “Moe” Young. Sadly missed by her brother Jim (Jacqueline) who gave Diana the gift of life for over 25 years. Diana leaves behind her k-9 friend Riley but will be reunited with those predeceased Pepper and Dudley. Diana would often say “The book of Life is already written” and would take on every challenge as a new chapter to her life. HACKETT, Jacqueline (For Newspaper)Jacqueline Hackett, née Samson, known to all as Jacqui, slipped away in her sleep on February 13th, age 91. Daughter of prominent Sudbury businessman and onetime mayor A.J. Samson, Jacqui was a lifelong resident of the city and a fiercely proud Sudburian. After earning her Master’s degree from St Michael’s College, University of Toronto and teaching qualifications from the Ontario College of Education in 1947, she returned home and taught French and Latin at Sudbury High. In 1952 she married fellow teacher Fred Hackett. A thoroughly modern woman, Jacqui not only lavished love and care on her four children but continued to teach, was an active member of the University Women’s Club, the Senate of the University of Sudbury, and the Elizabeth Barrett Browning chapter of the IODE. Somehow she also found time for an active social life featuring regular dinner parties and convivial evenings of bridge with her many close friends. She continued to contribute to the community in retirement volunteering her time at Paroisse Ste-Anne-des-Pins and the Sudbury General Hospital. Her deep love and wicked sense of humour will be missed by daughters Fleur of Sudbury, Yvette of Ottawa, and sons Lachlan (and wife Julie-Ann) of Brisbane, Australia and Evan (wife Heather) of Edmonton. Jacqui also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Alix, Liam and Matthew. The family would like to extend sincere thanks to the staff of For Seniors Only, Red Cross and Bayshore for the care they provided to Jacqui at home as well as to the Pioneer Manor community for their loving attention. PEGG, LoryPassed away peacefully on Friday, February 13, 2015 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family and animals, after courageously fighting lung cancer at the age of 46. She was a resident of Markstay, beloved partner of 15 years of Jeff Grossauer; loving mother and inspiration of Stephanie Pegg and Ryan Gelinas. Predeceased by her father Ernest Pegg and mother Ruth Pegg (nee Connors) and further survived by 10 older siblings Deb, Vic, Anne, Bob, Mike, Pat, Lorne, Danny, Kathy and Bruce, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was surrounded with love and support from the B*tches, coworkers and close friends until the end. She loved gardening, bird watching and soaking in the sun out on the land she shared with her partner and son. Everyone who knew her admired her generosity, her warm heart, her witty humour and her love of animals. At her request, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. DESLOGES, Rachel  The family announces with great sorrow her passing in Sudbury on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at the age of 86 years. Beloved wife of Raymond Desloges of Sudbury. Daughter of the late Henri and the late Celestine (née Biron) Deschamps. Dear sister of Jacqueline Monette of Montreal and Claude (Annette) of Oregon, U.S.A. Predeceased by her brothers Jacques, Roger, Arthur and André. In keeping with Rachel’s wishes, there will be no visitation. The family would like to thank the staff of Extendicare Falconbridge for the wonderful care of Rachel. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Ste-Anne-des-Pins Church, Sudbury. Predeceased by his brothers Rodolphe (late Claudette), Roland (late Laurence) and Hervé Vachon. Cherished grandfather of Eric, Lisa, Tyler, Patrick, Paul, Daniel, Steven, Shawn, Tina, Andrew and great-grandfather of Malachy, Elijah, Jason, William, Noah, Mackenzie, Haley, Riley, Mathieu, Philippe, Isabelle and Mia. He was an INCO retiree with 32 years of service. Leopold was an avid card player, hunter and fisherman.
