Peacefully at the Parkwood Palliative Care Unit in London Ontario on February 28, 2019,after a long battle with breast cancer, Colleen Marie Gowan of Wallacetown, passed away in her 51st year. She is the dear wife of Keith Gowan and the devoted mother of Agnes, Lucy and Kenneth Gowan, and loving step-mother of Greg and Paige Gowan [Kyle Cutler]. She is further survived by her parents James and Kathleen McGuire, siblings Brian McGuire, Michael McGuire and Maureen [Ernesto] Sanchez, and Grandma Marion Brandle all of Saginaw Michigan. Colleen will be remembered by many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Colleen was a very dedicated volunteer giving her time to her family, friends and community through such organizations as The Ilderton Skating Club, West Elgin Skating Club, Southwest Middlesex Soccer League, and Wallacetown Minor Soccer Association. She spent countless hours involved in club activities such as fund raising,event organization,maintaining soccer fields and more. It is with deepest sorrow we announce the sudden passing of Edward Kalita,of West Lorne on February 22, 2019 in his 89th year. Ed was born August 11,1930 in Hamilton. He is survived by Thelma, his wife of 67 years. Dearly loved father of Gary and Linda Kalita, Carolyn and David Arn, Diane Kalita, Joanne and John Johnston, Christine and Denis Hardy, John and Celedonia Kalita, Peter and Willma Kalita, Paul and Jakki Kalita, Mary and Peter Jocius and David and Sheila Kalita. Ed was blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ed is survived by his sister Jannette Huszczo, and brother-in-law Clifford McCollow and his wife Marian.Ed was predeceased by grandsons Cole Kalita, Christopher Graham and great granddaughter Adalynn Hardy.Ed was a life time farmer spending 56 years farming in Aldborough Twp. He was proud to be a farmer. He was a pioneer in the tobacco industry, cash crop farming and in establishing the Ontario Corn Producers Association. He truly embraced the industry of farming, moreover he enhanced and shared his knowledge with his family. Ed was an avid arrow head collector, loved to travel, enjoyed wood working and all family activity. We will miss him dearly. Comfortably and surrounded by his family, Douglas Malcolm Small in his 85th year passed very peacefully Friday February 15, 2019 at the St Thomas Elgin General Hospital.Douglas is survived by his loving wife of 52 yrs, Beverly [McDowell]Small.Devoted father of Brenda and Rick Myers, Kenneth and Jennifer Small. His grandchildren Mikayla[Jake Campbell], Jayden Myers, Brent, Evan, Reed and Rowan Small were the most important part of his life. Special cousin of William Whitlock. He will be missed by his cat Tommy. Survived by his sister Maxine Baldwin. Predeceased by his parents Malcolm and Jean [Campbell], his brothers Donald and Melvin, sister in law Helen Small. He had many special nieces and nephews, Janna, Douglas and Martha Stirling,Robert Stirling and families, Glenn and Jane Small and families, Marion Small and family, Sharron Rollin and family.Douglas was a kind and gentle family man who lived his whole life in Dunwich Twp where he was a proud farmer for many years with his two brothers.In earlier years he loved to curl and lawn bowl. Peacefully on January 26, 2019 at Elgin Manor Home for the Aged, Joe Van Nuland of Wallacetown in his 94th year. Born in Heeswijk N.BR, the Netherlands on May 8, 1925. Joe and Jean his wife, immigrated to Canada in 1953 and shared 65 years of marriage. Joe is survived by his wife, Jean, his children Joanne Bobier [Neil], Dianne McFadden [Ed], Ed Van Nuland [Dianne] and Mary Bowering [Paul Overhoh]. Grandpa to Bruce Bobier [Alana], Jeremy McFadden [Tanya], Sonya and Layne Van Nuland [Alex] and Jessica and Laura Bowering. Great Grandpa to Xander McFadden, Pierce and Addison Emrich and Alistair Bobier. Predeceased b granddaughter Colleen Emrich [Bobier] in 2016 and Nancy McFadden in 2012. On of 14 children, Joe is survived by 1 brother and 1 sister in Holland and many nieces and nephews. Joe was very active in the community. He was a charter member of West Lorne/Wallacetown Knights of Columbus and the Wallacetown Optimist Club. He was past president of St. Helen’s Cemetery Board and always active with St Helen’s Catholic Parish. He is survived by his loving wife and soulmate Christine [Teeuwen] McKenney, son Charlie and fiancee Taylor precious granddaughters Zoe and Harley. Also survived by his in-laws Margaret Teeuwen (Mike), Donna Rylett, Bob Teeuwen, Theresa Devolder (Dan) and Jim. Special nieces and nephews Ricky Teeuwen, Matthew Rylett, Natalie and Vanessa Devolder and very dear aunt Gert McFadden. Beloved grandmother of Tim Fair, Lynnette (Ryan) Fushi, Josh D’Alessandro, Jenn (Scott) Zettel, Joe (Krista) Donovan, Shawn Donovan, Ruby Burrel, Jeff (Jillian) McCready, Brad (Claudia) McCready, Chris (Paula) McCready, Jake Mitchell and 17 great grandchildren. She worked a number of years at Fanshawe College in the Administration Department. She was a secretary for the Grenadier Guards Association, and secretary for the British Sports Car Club. Great Grandfather of Adeline Ramsay, Donovan Ramsay & Sydney Wilkins.Predeceased by his parents, Gordon Henderson (1938) and Clara (Shoemaker) Henderson (1967), his wife Betty (Cowell) Henderson (2016), his brother Ralph Henderson (2018) and granddaughter Laura West (1983). Donald was a very devoted husband and father. Growing up in the Blenheim area, Donald was a lifelong farmer. As newlyweds, he and his wife Betty moved to their forever home near Dutton in 1951. They worked with Neuhauser Poultry/Masterfeeds for over 40 years in the poultry industry. He was also a meticulous carpenter, completing beautiful renovations to their home over the years. His mechanical abilities were put to good use keeping his farm machinery and automobiles in tip top condition. In later years he restored several vintage Chrysler cars from the 1960s and 1970s and enjoyed driving them around to classic car shows in Ontario.He shared his natural curiosity, and fine sense of humour with friends and family in the form of occasional practical jokes and recounting stories of some of his adventures while growing up on a farm in rural Ontario and attending a one room school house. He was a fan of many genres of music, especially Old Time Country and fiddle music. Many thanks to the Staff of Beattie Manor for their care over the past 18 months. McLandress: William Alexander of Dutton

William Alexander (The Ball of Fire), passed away peacefully on July 1, 2018, at Bobier Villa, Dutton, with his family by his side. Bill was born on November 25, 1929, in St. Thomas, Ontario. Loving husband of Joan (Lazenby), for 62 years, (now deceased). Loving brother of Marilyn and Clifford Inch (both deceased), Mary Jane and Bill Clifford (both deceased), and Isabel and Les (deceased) MacFarlane. Predeceased by his parents, William and Vera (Fife) McLandress. Beloved father of John (Brenda), Carolyn (Glenn), Bob (Beth), James, David (Crystal). Grandfather of Tracey, Kerri (Steve), Katrina (Russell), Jason (Leesa), Ashley; Daniel, Alan (Michelle), Laura (Tad); April (Brian), Ryan (Luke), Wesley (Bethany); Megan (Devin), Amy (Rick), Matthew, Bryce, Jordan and Logan.Great Grandfather of Ben, Landon, and Emelia, Carson and Briar, Jonathan, Tamara and Tyler, Emillie, Olivia and Ayden, William, Gemma, and Weston.
During his teenage years, he worked at the family grain elevators. When he and Joan married, they purchased a farm in Wallacetown, growing cash crops, and raising a variety of livestock. In 1954, he was hired on the Railroad, becoming an engineer, until retirement. During layoffs from the Railroad, he worked nights at the Talbotville Ford Plant, while farming during the day.
Bill had a passion for golfing, and flying. He was a licensed private pilot. But his number one passion, was for his life-long love, Joan.
Two visitations will be held on Friday July 6: from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., at Arn Funeral Home, 193 Shackleton Street, Dutton. 519-762-2416. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 7, at 11 a.m. at Knox Presbyterian Church in Fingal, where Bill and Joan were members. Everyone is invited to join the family for a reception at the church following the Memorial service. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Foundation, Bobier Villa, or a charity of your choice.

Loved mother of Bob and Mardy Plain, Port Stanley and Karen and Hardy Collard, Frome. Dearly loved Grandmother of Steven Collard, Vicky Plain [Doug Wall], Andrew Plain [Ruth], Wes Collard [Christine]. Great Grandmother of Coral, Delta, Kira, Emmit , Shepard Collard, Maya, Landon Wall, Blake, Brielle, A.J. Plain, Will, Cameron, Harrison Collard. Survived by sister-in-law Irene Fryer. Predeceased by her parents George and Isabel Percival, and siblings Don [Betty] Percival, Marion Dicker, Keith [Ruth] Percival, Ken [Maureen] Percival, and sister-in-law Leona Plain. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Alice was a school teacher, her last 21 years were at Southwold Public School. Alice belonged to the Retired Teachers Association, The Kensington Club, Lawrence Station Hall Committee and was a member of the Frome United Church. She was an avid golfer and card player. McWilliam: Florence Leona formerly of Dunwich Township

Florence Leona (Leitch) McWilliam passed away peacefully at Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, Ontario on Thursday, April 12, 2018 in her 95th year. She was the daughter of Archie D. Leitch and Minnie (Campbell) Leitch. She is survived by her loving husband Norman Angus McWilliam, and her son Bruce Norman McWilliam and his wife Lynn of Oakville, Ontario. Also survived by her granddaughter Blythe Jill McWilliam of Victoria B.C. Predeceased by her brothers St.Clair Campbell (Lila), Dugald, Donald (Annie), Robert (Audrey), Norman (Jeanne), sister Maribelle McWilliam (Stuart) and brother-in-law Donald McWilliam. Also survived by sister-in-law Ella McWilliam. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Florence was a life-long member of Duff Presbyterian Church, Largie and was active in the Women’s Missionary Society and Ladies’ Aid. She was also a member of the Adah Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She also worked with the Women’s Association of the Wallacetown Fair Board. Florence was a life-long member of the Largie community where, after retiring from teaching, she farmed with her husband Norman until six years ago when she and Norman moved to the Viva Retirement Community in Mississauga. We are very saddened to announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Jonathan Luc Plante, 35. He passed away peacefully in his sleep Sunday January 21st at his home in London Ontario, due to unknown causes. He is survived and will be greatly missed by his mother Elizabeth [William] Balsom. his father Luc [Ruth] Plante and his beautiful daughter Sophia, his sisters Sabrina [Curtis], Amanda [Mike], Natalie and Adriana, his brother Nathan.
