Atkinson; Lawnytruck“Peacefully, Now on the highway to Heaven”, on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia. LAWNY T. ATKINSON 63 years, was of Sarnia. Lawny is the loved son of Janet (nee Kennedy) and the late Thomas (1977) Atkinson. He will be missed by his sister La Vonne Walker and her friend Mike Hills. He was predeceased by his brother Laurie Atkinson (1999) and his brother-in-law Leslie Walker (2002). Will be sadly missed by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Lawny was a trucker for his entire life driving 18 years for Dunlop Transport and 21 years for Mackie Moving System. Growing up on a farm, farming was still his passion and he was a member of the Steam Thrashers Association. Visitors will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the WYOMING CHAPEL, 650 Broadway St., Wyoming and again on Friday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. from the Wyoming Chapel. Interment in Beechwood Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the St. Joseph’s Hospice of Sarnia-Lambton (www.stjosephshospice.ca).
