At the young age of 2, James and his brother Jack lived in a children’s shelter. Two years later, their foster care parents, Ernest and Louella Bartlett opened their hearts and home in Warren to these young boys. Raised in a loving home, 17 year old James moved to Sudbury and became a miner with Inco. He then met the love of his life “Isabel”, they married in 1955 and together raised 5 beautiful children. After 32 years, he retired from Inco. James will be forever remembered as a loving husband, father, proud grandfather and great-grandfather who was passionate about life and lived it to the fullest. Well known by his friends and family as “Teddy Bear”, an avid outdoorsman and sportsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, baseball, curling and coaching the McLean playground hockey team. The most cherished memories were created by the many wonderful years spent with his wife, children, grandchildren and canine friend Rambo at their camp on Low Water Lake. Jim will sadly be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and feline friend Buddy. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, Thursday, October 25th, 2012 from 2-5 and 7-9:30p.m. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Cooperative Funeral Home Chapel, Sudbury.
