Peacefully on Wednesday, December 17, 2014, with her family at her bedside. She is fondly remembered by Frank, her husband of 62 years, her sons Stephen (Monica) and Ian and his wife Diana, her grandsons Grant, John and Hugh, her son-in-law Chris Schooley, and her sister Maude Milner in England. She was predeceased by her loving daughter Nancy (2007). Sheila was always positive, loved a good joke and thought the best of her friends and family. She was born in 1929 in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, England, and immigrated to Sarnia with her husband Frank in 1952. Sheila was active with Sunday School and Cubs for many years, and volunteered for several organizations including the Canadian Liver Foundation. Among her many close friends were: Edith and Jack Howden and family, Jean Keys, Vivian Yeates, Marie Harrington, May Girdlestone, Adele Rey, and her nephew David Senior and his wife Susan. The family would like to thank Bluewater Health for their kindness shown to Sheila. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, December 20, 2014, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 22, 2014, at Smith Funeral Home. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through donations to Bluewater Health Foundation (cheques only at the funeral home please).
