Hazel Antenbring (Brown) passed away peacefully at Vision Nursing Home in Sarnia on December 25, 2013 at the age of 94. Loving mother of Joan Dingle (Calgary), Lois Burdett (Stratford) and Ron (Judy) Antenbring (Sarnia). Loving sister of Trudy Young (Sarnia). Cherished grandmother of Ian Dingle, Megan Charbonneau, Erin Dingle-Johnson, Scott Burdett, Christina & James Antenbring. Great grandmother to Eve Johnson, Tao & Ripley Charbonneau. Predeceased by her loving husband Stan (2005), parents Kenneth and Florence Brown of RR1 Mooretown and sisters Dorothy Nelson, Mable Moore and Gwen Scarrow. Hazel graduated from nursing at the Sarnia General Hospital in 1942, and then served hospitals in Rosetown Saskatchewan, Banff Alberta, and at Christie St. Military Hospital in Toronto. After having children, Hazel took on the role of homemaker in Sarnia, Dartmouth, Vancouver and Edmonton. She supported all of the communities she lived in through volunteer activities. Hazel loved golf, playing cards, travelling or just taking a walk with her beloved Stan. Her knitted dolls are treasures cherished by her family. Hazel’s welcoming smile and gentle touch will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. Thanks to all those at Residence on the St. Clair, Bluewater Health and Vision Nursing Home for their loving care of Hazel.
