IMG_0577On Wednesday, February 19, 2014, Frederick Anoquot passed away suddenly at Bluewater Health Palliative Care in Sarnia. Fred is survived by his loving wife Ilene of 63 years and by children Geraldine (Rick) of Cranbrook, BC, Terry of Corunna, Margaret (Dave) of Niagara Falls, and Dorothy (Kelly) of Petrolia. Fred will be fondly remembered by his loving grandchildren Maurice (Riikka), Craig (Jamie), Mason (Christy) , Danielle (Cody), Megan, Nicole (Chad), Josh (Savannah), and Rob; and great-grandchildren Bradon, Jasper, Carson, Selma, Maddox, Harper, and Quinn. Also survived by nephew Lester Anoquot and several step-brothers and sisters. Predeceased by siblings Viola Thompson and Ormond Anoquot. Fred made many dear friends in his 37 years of service at Fibreglas Canada, retiring in 1987 as supervisor. He is well-known for his involvement in hockey, baseball and golf. A private family service will be held at Smith Funeral Home. Please come join the family for a luncheon reception in honour of Fred at the SMITH FAMILY CENTRE 1576 London Line, Sarnia (across from the funeral home) on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. Ilene and family would like to thank the staff at Fiddick’s Nursing Home and Dr. Maddison and nursing staff at Bluewater Health for their kind support, and Dr. Kim Barnett for looking after Fred and Ilene for so many years.
