Ainge PicAinge, Rodney William

After being diagnosed with cancer on Christmas Eve of 2008, Rodney William (Rod) Ainge finally succumbed to the disease on March 19, 2014.

Rod loved life, especially the laughter of small children, travelling and the peaceful surroundings of his northern home, the cottage. He said that he was thankful for the lifetime of wonderful memories that he was taking with him and he had no regrets –  except that he would have liked to have had even more time with his beloved wife, Rosemarie (nee Koleszar); sons Christopher (Karen), Chris’s daughter Amy, Jason (Judy), their son Dryden; brother Russell (Beth & family), along with his many family members in both Canada and England and of course, the friends he has made over his 73 years.

Thanks for all the care and support from Matthews House Hospice and all of the Health Care Providers who helped to make his transition as easy as possible.

A Celebration of Life will be held in July. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations may be made to Matthews House Hospice, Alliston www.matthewshousehospice.ca .
