D’Ippoliti, Filomena

With family by her side, it is with great sadness in our hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Filomena D’Ippoliti at the age of 79 at St. Joseph’s Healthcare, Parkwood Hospital in London, ON. Beloved daughter of late Giovanni and Teresa Spardella and devoted wife of the late Angelo (2012). Loving and strong mother of Silvana (Gord MacLean), Bruno (late Christine 2014), John and Angela (Jay Cator). Cherished and adoring Nonna of Samantha, Emily, Victoria, Wesley and Alicia. She will be missed by her brother Mario, sisters Annetta, Elizabeth, and late sisters Nina and Georgina; sisters-in-law Guiseppina (Antonio Germani), Rosina (Rugerro Gesuale), Marietta (Peter Ippoliti), nephew Andy Fortuna (Noria), Andy Germani (Phil), Mickey Gesuale (Teresa), Andy Ippoliti (Josephine), Joe Ippoliti (Linda), Frank Ippoliti (Silvana), nieces Agnes (Elio Lisi), Sally (Frank Sementilli). Best friend to Stanka Pavlovic (Anto), Concetta Querqui and Anna Lukic. Her vivacious spunk and hard work ethic were not enough to fight a very angry and aggressive cancer but she will always be known for her kindness, enthusiasm and compassion for others. Visitations will be held in Windsor on Fri. Oct. 17, 2014 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. (8 p.m. eulogy and rosary prayer) at Families First, 1065 Lauzon Rd. Windsor (519)969-5841. Funeral Mass will be held on Sat. Oct. 18th at 10:00 am (close family and friends early visitation at 9 a.m.) at Our Lady of Atonement on 2940 Forest Glade Dr. followed by mausoleum burial at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens at RR #1 Oldcastle. Special thanks to Dr. Laura Diachun, Dr. Minuk, Lynda Parker, SW and the many excellent nursing and allied health staff at the two London Hospital’s.
