Denniss –  Mary “God has two dwellings one in Heaven and one in a meek and thankful heart”. I am now at peace in Heaven with my Mom and Dad, Bertha and Francis Olde. Peacefully after a long and wonderful life, Mary Vivian Denniss (Olde)    passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, May 29th, 2012 in her 81st year. Mary lived a wonderful, full life with her best friend and loving husband, Leon of 57 years. Every day Mary was loved and cherished by her children, Debbie Rimnyak, Dale Denniss, Dean Denniss (Maureen), Darlene Denniss, Diane Taylor (Mark) and Dan Denniss (Michelle). Mary was the very proud grandma of Tahlia and Tenessa Rimnyak, Adam Denniss, Emily, Josh and Erin Taylor, Cody and Chelsea Denniss, and George and Ruby Denniss. Mary was the epitome of generosity and always putting others needs first. Mary was a devoted member of the Sparta United Church, the U.C.W, the Christmas Shoppe and the St. Thomas Horticultural Society. Mary will be fondly remembered by her many close cousins, special friends, and neighbours.

Family and friends will be received at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas on Thursday from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Mary’s life will be held at Union United Church on Friday at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Union Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to Terrace Lodge Recreation Fund, the Sparta and District Historical Society or the Christmas Shoppe.

We would like to extend our special thanks to the amazing caregivers at Terrace Lodge, the 4th floor nurses and Dr. Green at the STEGH. “Happiness is found along the way not at the end of the road”.
