HERBERT: Thomas Edwin of Belleville and formerly Toronto area
Herbert, Thomas Edwin – after battling various illnesses over the past 40 years, Tom succumbed to a heart attack, at QHC-Belleville General Hospital, on Tuesday, July 8th, 2014 in his 75th year. Beloved husband of 31 years to Hilda (formerly Marshall, nee Bebee) of Belleville. Loving father of Lynn (Jim) Elvins of Brantford, Robin (Bob) Martin of Oshawa, Elizabeth (Gerald) Vizzone of New Jersey and Christopher (Maria) Herbert of Toronto and grandfather of 11. Tom is survived by his siblings, Virginia (Don) Goodman, Barbara Shorthouse and Gerry Manley. He is also remembered by many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Harold and Violet Herbert and by his siblings Margaret Klem, Lorraine “Betty” Manley, Bill Herbert, Jackie Coomby and Clifford Herbert. Tom retired in 1995 as the Operations Manager with Metro Toronto Ambulance after serving 35 years. He worked various positions from an Ambulance Driver Attendant to numerous positions in management.
Friends are invited to drop in at a Celebration Gathering on Saturday, July 12th, 2014 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the main floor reception room at 344 Front St (McNabb Towers), Belleville, ON.
