FERRARI, Angelo P. – Surrounded by his family, Angelo passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospice after a long battle with cancer on Friday, June 30, 2017 at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Antonietta “Toni” (Santoro). Dear father of Fernanda DeCiantis (Lino) and Anthony Ferrari. Loving Nonno of Sante DeCiantis, Marco DeCiantis, Catalina Ferrari and Sabrini Antonietta Ferrari. Brother of Anna Saurini (Fernando), Maria Brusco (Benito) and Vicky Salustro (Renzo). Brother-in-law of Anna Ferrera (late Oliviero), Maria Santoro (late Rocco) and Jackie Santoro (Michael Hunt). Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Antonio & Erminia (Saurini) Ferrari and brother-in-law Loreto Santoro. Angelo was retired from the Boilermakers Union Local 128. He was a member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Holy Rosary Society, the Dante Club and the San Rocco Society. Angelo also volunteered with the Mission of the Seamen. Heckadon, Dr. Robert

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Dr. Robert Heckadon on June 22, 2017. Robert, known as Bob, was the loving husband of Camilla (nee Russell) for 58 wonderful years. Adored father of David (Maria), Louise (Mark) Karch, Peter, William (Joanne) and Barbara (Richard) Brown. Beloved grandfather to Anna, Sara, Monica and Matthew. Brother to May (deceased), Ruth, and Gerald (deceased).

Bob was born on January 30, 1933 in Brantford, Ontario. He was a Reserve Pilot in the RCAF from 1951 to 1956, and a Commercial Pilot from 1956 to 1958. After graduating in medicine from the University of Western Ontario (1960), Bob completed his internship at Toronto General Hospital (1961), the University of Toronto Surgical Program FRCSC (1966) and a Preceptorship in Plastic Surgery in Vienna, Austria (1966). For 30 years, Bob practiced plastic surgery in Windsor, Ontario from 1966 to 1996. He acted as Chairman of Emergency and Disaster Planning (1974 – 1983) through the Essex County Medical Association. He was Director of the Maxillofacial Speech Clinic from 1979 to 1989, and the Chief of Medical Staff at Hotel Dieu Hospital from 1979 to 1996. He was Chairman of the Medical Care and Practice Committee with the Ontario Medical Association from 1991 to 1994. Bob also served as a Medical Surveyor with the Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation (1991 – 1996), travelling throughout 6 provinces to conduct hospital accreditation.

After his plastic surgery practice, Bob joined the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board as a Medical Advisor in 1996. He became a Medical Coordinator in 1997 and acted as Associate Director for Clinical Services Southern Ontario from 1998 to 2010.

In 2000, Bob was awarded the prestigious Glenn Sawyer Service Award from the Ontario Medical Association in recognition of service to the profession and to the community.

Bob worked until the age of 82, assisting at surgery for 4 years. In 2016, Bob was awarded the Chairman’s Medal from the University of Toronto in recognition of being one of the pioneers in plastic surgery in Canada.

An avid reader and dog-lover, Bob also found enjoyment in piano, languages, photography, genealogy, gardening and travel. Bob was always generous with his time, never hesitating to help those who needed it. Known for his kind and humble nature, our beloved Dr. Bob touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Peacefully at Bluewater Health on Wednesday June 28, 2017 CRYSTAL (CHRISSIE) (nee GRAHAM) HARRISON age 65 of Sarnia. Loving sister to Candy Derby, Rick Graham, Patricia (Tim) Greene, Rod Derby and the late Vivian (Derby) Salustro. Also survived by special friends Louise Audette and Vicky Davis. Chrissie gave her time volunteering at Vision Nursing Home along to different causes throughout the city. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Chrissie’s Life will be held at the D. J. Passed away peacefully on June 15, 2017 at 73 years of age with his family by his side after a short battle with cancer. Cherished husband of Pat (nee McKinnon) for 52 years. Beloved father of Greg (Mona), Krista (Scott) Boorn, Brad (Danielle), and Michelle (Brian) Murtagh. Fun loving Poppa and Grandpa of Hunter, Abbey and Chloe Boorn, Claire, Elizabeth, Anne, Genevieve and Frances Fields, Tate and Cohen Murtagh. Reunited with his parents Lloyd and Germaine Fields and special son-in-law of Frank McKinnon. Dear brother of Penny Dixon, Betty Langlois, Lloyd and Richard (Diane). Peacefully, on June 15, 2017 at the age of 68.  Dear husband of Janet (nee Krolikowski) for 38 years.  Treasured father of Jennifer Lasco and husband Jay, Kimberly Bondy and husband Colin, Stephanie Knapp, Jeffrey Knapp.  Cherished grandfather of Olivia and Alice Lasco, Simon and Elsie Bondy.  Dear brother of Betty Bondy (the late Wayne), Cecile McIntyre and husband Pete, Bill Knapp and wife Margaret, Ken Knapp and Mary Knapp.  Predeceased by his parents Leo and Rita Knapp.  Brother-in-law of Robert Krolikowski and Donna Babcock.  Dave will be sadly missed by several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Dave will always be remembered for his great sense of humour that brought laughter to everyone he knew. At 81 years of age, Joe found his peace late Friday night with his daughter Gloria Rupert by his side. He was loved and admired by his brother, sisters, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many friends. Donations to the Hospice of Erie Shores would be appreciated by the family. It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Ken on June 17, 2017 at 47 years of age.  Cherished husband of 20 years to Diane (nee Pisani).  Treasured father of Collin and Abigail.  Adored grandson of his “Gram” Ruth Ames and her late husbands Kenneth Scott (1988) and Elmer Ames (2014).  Loving son of Brian (Debbie Gill).  Dear son-in-law of Joseph & Lois Pisani.  He will be sadly missed by his aunt Betty Anne & Dale Steed, his nephews Adam (Jennifer) and Aaron and his dear friends Chris Macrow and Dawn Henderson.  Ken truly loved working at Auto Warehousing Company (A.W.C.) as a Supervisor and will be remembered by his co-workers as a devoted employee and friend.  He was an avid golfer and loved his motorcycle “Candy”, referring to her as his third girl.  Ken adored his children and was beyond devoted to them.  He will be greatly missed by all.  If you so desire, donations to an Educational Trust Fund for his children (cheques payable to Diane Weaver) would be appreciated by the family.
