Cherished husband of Lela “Lee” (nee Budreau) for 62 years.  Loving father of Jay Zurkan and wife Stephanie, Dean Zurkan and wife Beth, and Joni Bennett and the late Bruce Lee (2012).    Proud papa of Brittney, Laura and fiance Joe.  Dear brother in law of Larry and Linda Budreau.  Reunited with his parents Arthur and Maria Zurkan and by his 7 siblings.  Survived by many nieces and nephews.  Ernie served in WW II with the Royal Canadian Navy.  Ernie owned and operated Play Mor Billiards in Riverside until his retirement.  If you so desire, donations made to Hospice of Windsor would be appreciated by the family.  A special thanks to Dr. Jhawar and his nurse Jennifer for all of their compassionate care over the past 2 years. Loving grandmother of Nathan, Brittney, Amber, Justin, Joshua and great grandmother to Tatiana and Logan. Our mother and grandmother had retired from Young Spring and Wire, Chrysler Van Plant where she worked for 30 years. Mother attended the Parkwood Gospel Temple, as well as the Riverside Baptist Church. Mother strove to put the Christ in her life and to keep her family unified. Survived by his loving wife Lea (Venables) of 43 years. Father of Michelle (Dave) Milling and Phillip (Dorothy) Labombarbe. Grandfather of Jason, Adam, David, Michael, Daniel, Kaitlyn, Chelsey and Kracynda. He will be missed by his fur-baby Bailey. Beloved brother of Joan (Gord) Boyes. Much loved brother-in law of Bob, Dave (Judy), Deb (John), Harley (Cindy) Don (Mary Lou) Mike “Ziggy” (Dana). Predeceased by his parents Elsie and Herb Labombarbe. He will be greatly missed by his mother and father in law Harold and Marilyn Venables. Survived many nieces and nephews. Archie was a proud retiree of General Motors. Beloved husband of Rita Gallant (née Houghton) of Teeswater.

Loving father of Phil Gallant (Tishi) of Dunnville, Doug Gallant (Shirley) of Toronto, Gerry Gallant (Margaret) of Paisley, Kelly Clarke (Paul) of Ottawa and Ken Gallant of Owen Sound.

Missed by 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.

Dear brother of Hilda McLean of Toronto, Sam Gallant (Sandra) of Burlington, George Gallant of Hamilton, Melvin Gallant (Florence) of Alberta and Wayne Gallant of Nova Scotia.

Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents, Simon and Alice (née Cook) Gallant, daughter Janet Buffett, brothers Joe Gallant (Liz), Walter Gallant (Genevieve), sisters Agnes McNeil (Andrew), Marcella McNeil (Joe), Lily Donovan (Gordon), brother-in-law Eddie McLean and sister-in-law Sharon Gallant.

gorman-loren-oval-resized-largerJ. Loren Gorman of Millville, NB passed away on November 28, 2016 at Ridgewood Veterans Wing, Saint John, NB. Loren was born in 1919 at Millville, NB, a son of the late John and Della (Hoyt) Gorman.  Loren was a veteran, serving with the Navy during the Second World War. He served as Mayor while living in Strathroy, ON and pastored several churches in the Strathroy area. After retirement, Loren and Lorna moved back to Millville where he was very community minded and a member of Millville RCL Branch #59.  He is survived by his children, David Gorman (Cathy), Maple Ridge, NB, Ronald Gorman (Anne), Hainesville, NB, Robert Gorman (Gail), Paul Gorman (Nancy) and Carol Arrand (William), all of Strathroy, ON; eleven grandchildren, Kim (Dennis), Brad (Sandra), Tim, Christine, Jennifer (Ryan), Andrea (Victor), Laurie (Erik), Julie, Correne (Liam), Jeff (Rhonda) and Stephen; eighteen great grandchildren; three sisters, Marjorie Jewett, Paula Crouse, both of Fredericton, NB and Pauline Foster, Bowmanville, ON; a brother, Rev. Karl Gorman (Helene), Yarmouth, NS; several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Lorna (Rozee) Gorman in 2006; three sisters, Jacqueline Gorman, Maxine Jones and Ruth Braun; two brothers, Earl Gorman and Arden Gorman and by a grandson Donald Gorman.

Visitation will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Friday from 7 to 9 pm. Visitation will also be held at the Millville Baptist Church, 1469 Route 605, Millville, NB on Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 12:30 to 2 pm. A RCL Tribute service will be held at the church at 2 pm followed immediately by the funeral service with Rev. Derek Langille officiating. Interment will be later at the Millville Cemetery.  Honorary pallbearers will be Ronald McGuigan and James Cookson.  Active pallbearers will be Brad Gorman, Brian Nicholson, Phillip Gorman and John Gorman.  For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Loren, the family has suggested the Millville Cemetery.

Site, Petrolia at the age of 93. Lovingly remembered by his wife of 68 years, Elisabeth (Reintjes). clark-elizabethPeacefully and with grace, with her family present, Elizabeth (Betty) Florence Clark (nee Wood) died on November 28th, 2016 in Cobourg, Ontario at the age of 93.  Betty was predeceased by her loving husband Phil, who passed away four years earlier, also in Cobourg.  She leaves her daughter Cathy Clark and Cathy’s husband Dale Churchward, her son David and his wife Mary Elizabeth (Knight) as well as grandchildren Patrick and Emlyn Clark.  We will all miss her tremendous smile, gentle determination and sure sense of decorum and justice.  We also want to acknowledge her devoted, life-long friends, Jean MacLennan and the late Patricia Smith.  Betty was the only daughter of Winnifred and Russ Wood of Coldstream Ave. in Toronto.  She is also the 2nd remaining member of Phil Clark’s twelve siblings and their spouses, leaving only Phil’s sister Bess (101) alive to represent that generation.  The family wish to thank Esther Johnston for her love and affection and the amazing, positive effect she had on Betty’s life in the final months.  We would also like to thank the staff at Extendicare, Cobourg for their excellent attention to detail and care in her final days.  The family will hold a private burial in Toronto followed by a more public memorial in coming weeks to be announced.  If desired, donations may be made to Boost Child & Youth Advocacy Centre or Greenwood Coalition.  Condolences received at www.MacCoubrey.com.

campbellrebecca-2Passed away peacefully on Monday, November 28, 2016 at C.E.E. Hospital of Bluewater Health, Petrolia.  H. REBECCA “BECKY” CAMPBELL, of Petrolia, was in her 89th year.   Becky was the wife of the late Allan T. Campbell (1998).   She will be missed by her children Ann (Tom) Jerrard, Barbara Campbell, Scott (Janice) Campbell, and Susan Campbell.   She was a loved grandmother to Bill (Rebecca) Jerrard, Kathy (Jason Blair) Jerrard, Katelyn Campbell, Beth (Bob) Klauka, and Allison Campbell and great grandmother to Alex, Kyra, Keaton, and Ace.  A service remembering Becky’s life will be held Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 11:00 am from the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, Petrolia.   Interment will be in Wyoming Cemetery.  As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to C.E.E. RAPPOSELLI: Ettore “Tony” of St. Thomas, Ontario

tony-rapposelliRAPPOSELLI, Ettore, known to his friends in Canada as Tony, passed away peacefully at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Sunday, November 27, 2016, in his 78th year.  He was born and raised in Chieti, Italy where he learned about agriculture.  He joined the Police Force (Carabinieri) in Rome, Italy, but in 1961, he discharged himself to join his family in Canada, who had emigrated in 1960.  He was predeceased by his parents, Giovanni (1991) and Ida (nee Rabottini) Rapposelli (1996).  Also predeceased by his only brother, Carlo Rapposelli (1972), and his eldest sister, Carmela LaRovere (2007) and her husband Guerino (2013).  He is survived by his beloved wife Marilyn (nee Bee) Rapposelli.  Dear father of Carla Davison (Bill), Tanya Rapposelli (Jason Pullen) and Jeff Rapposelli.  Cherished grandfather of Johnny Robert Lee Haskett, Tori, Nicole, Bailey and Riley Rapposelli.  Dear brother of Maria DiBenedetto (Marino), Antonietta DiMeo (Enzo), Elena D’Arcangelo (late Anthony 2014), and Wanda Woytaz.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins in Canada as well as Italy.

In Canada, Tony owned and operated his own business, E. (Tony) Rapposelli Construction, for over 40 years until he retired.  He was a 3rd Degree member of the Father Ernie Deslippe Council # 1467, Knights of Columbus, St .Thomas.  He was a member of St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, St. Thomas.  While still in Italy, Tony was a sharp shooter while on the police force.  He was an avid hunter and trap shooter.  Tony was a member of the Aylmer and St. Thomas Gun Clubs.  He was a motorcyclist in Italy and a snowmobilier in Canada with a love of the outdoors.  In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place.  There will be no public visitation or funeral service.  Private interment in Holy Angels’ Cemetery, will take place at a later date.  Flowers gratefully declined.  If so desired, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society, the STEGH Foundation (Palliative Care Unit), or St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church will be gratefully acknowledged. While surrounded by her loving family,  Margaret went to be with her Lord On Sunday, November 27, 2016, at London Health Sciences Centre.  Loving wife of Alan Raymond Pepper.  Survived by her children Don Shawnoo, Robin Shawanoo, Chris Shawanoo (Mandie); her stepchildren Joyce Truckle (Jim), Clinton (Roy), and Peter (Pam).  Beloved sister of Pauline Bressette, and sister in law Sharon Bressette.  Margaret was a loving grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother to many.  She was a special aunt and great-aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her siblings Aileen Faye Henry, Edith Jean Henry, Robert Allan Bressette, and her stepson Alan Pepper Jr.   Visitation will take place at DENNINGS OF FOREST, 9 James Street South, Forest, on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm &  7:00 pm – 9:00 pm.  A Funeral Service will take place at Hillside School Auditorium, Kettle Point First Nation, on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Mark Isaac officiating.  Interment to follow at Kettle Point Cemetery.  For those who wish, in memoriam donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association, Alzheimer Society, or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.  Online condolences may be left at www.denning.ca
