Loving second father of Dianne, Debbie (Michael), Todd and the late Terri. Cherished Poppa of Desmond and Hailey, and Proud Poppa of Michael, David, Jenn, Meaghan, Angela and Kira and great grand Poppa of five. Brother of Ray. Sadly missed by all who knew him. Some of his fondest memories were with his cousin Donald, his fishing buddies and life-long friends Bill Gadd and Nick Harvey, his son-in-law Michael and most of all his beloved dog Toby. Alan was the founder and operated Garbutt Evergreens for over 50 years and was a life member of the Batten Hunt Camp. He was also a longtime active member of the Lakefield and Peterborough Horseshoe Clubs. Beloved husband of Marilyn (nee Peters). Loving father of Debbie Hook of B.C., Darlene Harris (Frank) and Gerald (Elizabeth), all of Douro-Dummer and William (Diane) of Douro. Poppa and GGpa will always be loved and remembered by Josh, Amber, Tyler, Ashley, Lindsay, Kyle, Kristina and Derek and by his 12 great grandchildren. He was a longtime active member of the Lakefield United Church, a member of the A.O.T.S., and a dedicated volunteer with Community Care, Lakefield for 20 years. He and Evelyn spent many hours together square dancing and camping. Loved and missed by his wife Evelyn (nee Freeburn). Dear father of Michael (Lisa Del Giudice) and Christopher (Evi). Adoring grandfather of Danielle, Madeline and John (their mother Kristine), and Robbie and Jeffrey. Will be dearly missed by his sister Denice Forrest (Don). Cherished brother-in-law of Kathy Banks (Tony), Mary-Jo Roy (Harry) and Joyce Leddy (late Jerry). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Red and Noreen Geddes of London. Bob was an exceptional athlete excelling in summer and winter sports. His love was hockey. He had a storied junior hockey career in London and continued playing left wing for 60 years. He was a fierce competitor; ask any London area right-winger. On the golf course he was a gentleman with a natural swing and a quick, dry wit, as heard for decades around the greens at Sunningdale and The Oaks. He loved his sports and reveled in the camaraderie of his teammates and competitors equally. A 53-year career as a well respected life insurance agent with a CLU designation. Bob served his clients with professionalism and integrity. On numerous occasions, he received accolades as a top performer nationally. A special thank you to the 4th Floor Internal Medicine Team at University Hospital for their compassionate care and kindness. BRISSON, AntoinetteIt is with deep sadness that the family announces her passing in Sudbury on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at the age of 72 years. Daughter of the late Joseph and late Alice (née Bertrand) Bibeau. Beloved wife and best friend of 55 years to Adelard Brisson. Loving mother of Denis Brisson (Sue), Daniel Brisson (Carole), Carmen Brisson-Gareau (Allan) and Carol Brisson-Desormeaux (Patrick). Cherished grandmother of Jennifer, Denis Jr, Natalie, Monique, Allison, Brian, Andrew, Crystal, Mario, Michel and great-grandmother of 15 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Jacqueline Pothier, late Léon, Aline Larrivée, Florian Bibeau, late Hector Bibeau, Severe Bibeau and Norman Bibeau. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Friday, February 26, 2016 from 1-4 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. in the Chapel. Nault Maurice (1930-2016) of Chelmsford, ON

NAULT, Maurice“Nothing will separate us from the love of God.”  (Rm 8:39).  The family announces with sorrow his death in Sudbury, on Saturday, February 20, 2016.  Beloved husband of Marguerite, predeceased.  Very loving father of 4 children: Stanley, predeceased, Wilfred, predeceased, (wife Mary), Georges, predeceased (friend Debbie), Marie-Rose also known as Pam, (husband, André Aubin).  Maurice will be sadly missed by his grand children, Angel, Cassandra, Shay and Crystal  and his great grand-children, Tate, Tilton, Jenna and Joseph. He was the loving brother of Alexis, predeceased, (Jeanne, predeceased), Laurent, predeceased, (Rolande), Fernand, predeceased, Armand, predeceased (Barbara, predeceased), Georges, predeceased, Ernest (Claudette), Cécile (Dr. Raymond Bonin), Florence Nault-Boivin, predeceased, Jeannette (Roma Joly, predeceased), Madeleine, predeceased (Leon Shymanski, predeceased), Lorraine (Prof. Dr. John Sahadat), Germaine Brûlé, Gilberte Nault-Bouillon, predeceased, and Micheline (Yvan Demers). Maurice’s last occupation was a night security guard at the Matte Residence, University of Sudbury, from which he retired in the year 2000.  This was a position he enjoyed very much as he loved to create a pleasant atmosphere for the students in residence, and to play pool with them whenever time permitted.  In the community he was well known as Pops or Shorty.  He loved playing pool at the Rhythm and Cues, meeting other friends at the Bingo One, and participating in various types of activities at St. Gabriel Villa where he resided. Maurice had a high devotion to the Virgin Mary.  He was very devoted to his family, friends, and society.  Resting at the Co-operative Funeral Home, on 222 Lasalle Blvd., Sudbury Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 23rd, 2016 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 24th, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Jean de Brébeuf Church on Notre Dame St. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Building funds of St. Jean de Brébeuf Church or Memorial masses will be greatly appreciated.

DAIGLE, LawrenceIt is with great sorrow we announce Larry’s passing in Chelmsford at St.

Gabriel Villa on Friday, February 19, 2016 at the age of 88 years. Son of

the late Jim and the late Anita (née Pitre) Daigle. Predeceased by his son

Clifford Daigle of Bathhurst, N.B.  Husband of the late Helen (née Snoday)

Daigle and his wonderful companion of 14 years the late Edna Spooner (née Richer). Grandfather of Jean-Marc, Danielle and Stephane. He will be sadly missed by his friend Monique Spooner-Laframboise, whom adopted him as part of the family. His adopted grandchildren Carrie Laframboise (Rick Anderson) and Ann Laframboise (Benjamin Finlayson) will also miss him. Larry displayed a great heart and had many friends.  He loved to talk to people everywhere he went. He always knew how to make people laugh. He often looked forward to his Harvey Hamburger as a treat. We would like to thank the staff at St. Gabriel for the care they gave him.  He always said he was treated well and that they were like family.  In keeping with Lawrence’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. He will be remembered for his taste for music and his passion to entertain.
