Entered into rest on Wednesday February 26th, 2014.  Larry Burns age 68 of RR1 Addison.  Beloved husband of Betty Burns ( nee Maud ).  Dear father of Doug Burns ( Cindy ) of RR1 Addison, Don Burns ( Kelly ) of Kingston and Dean Burns of RR1 Addison.  Loving grandfather of Rachel Burns ( Mike ) of Cardinal, Taylor and Connor Burns both of Kingston.  Brother of Archie ( Leah ), Bernie ( Pat ), Nancy, Richard ( Janice ), Ken ( Valerie ), Tim , Morgan, Michael  and Chris Burns.  Predeceased by 3 brothers, Ron, Bruce and Allan.  Also predeceased by 2 sisters-in-law, Amy and Pam Burns.  Larry will be sadly missed by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as several great nieces and great nephews.

Danced her way through Heaven’s gates at the age of 90 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s on Thursday, February 27th, 2014. Doreen had an unwavering faith in her saviour, Jesus Christ and was a long time member of Antioch Christian Ministries.  Beloved wife for 70 years of Andrew Mailloux.  Loving mother of Robert (Debbie Desjardins), Peter (2009), Francis, Michelle Nettleton (Peter), Terry (Suzanne Schiemann), D’Arcy, and Lori (Frank Pompa). Cherished grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  Survived by sisters Ida Charron and Cecile Dutka-Gazo, in-laws Isabelle and Alma Quenneville, Paul Gagnon, Edmond, Raymond and Magella Mailloux.  Pre-deceased by 16 more siblings. Doreen will be dearly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Staff at Extendicare Tecumseh lovingly cared for her the last 5 years of her life. The family gives them their deepest gratitude. Kimberly Grace (Anderson) McGuire (April 24, 1991) – It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our wife, daughter, and sister Kimberly on Thursday, February 27, 2014.  She is survived by her best friend and husband, Ian McGuire, her parents Sheila and Leonard Anderson, her siblings Emily Anderson, Jennifer and James Hill, and Brenda and Sean Bell, her parents-in-law Robert and Nancy McGuire, and the late Myrna McGuire, her brother-in-law Jordan McGuire, and her Nana, Dorothy Clark. At Rosewood Manor on Thursday, February 27, 2014 . BERNICE LOUISE STRANGWAY at 96  years of age. Predeceased by her beloved husband Archie (1996), loving parents Herbert and Louise (Holloway) Weston, special brothers Haydn and Ernest Weston. Survived locally by nephew Robert Weston (Carol), nephew in – law Ross Dunn and niece in – law Pauline Mc Lean. Also survived by nieces Louise Parry (Tom), Carol Keigher (Gerry) and nephew Herbert Weston (Linda). Many nieces and nephews (in-laws) also survive. An accomplished pianist and organist, Louise was active for many years in Sarnia musical circles and was organist for 25 years at Manduamin United Church. A life member of the United Church of Canada, she was a  devoted member of her church and actively involved in its work. At Louise’s request, there will be no funeral service or visitation at the funeral home. A family graveside service for interment of the cremains will take place at Wyoming Cemetery at a later date. Those so wishing may make donations at the funeral home to the charity of their choice. The family wishes to thanks Dr. Glen Maddison and his staff, Rosewood Manor staff and the staff at Bayshore Health and in particular nurses Brenda and Blain and one very special friend Doreen. She is the beloved wife of Ron Weaver. Loving mother of Graeme (Sally) and David (Sue). Loved nanna of Bryan (Nikki), Billy (Kristal), Gregory (Cassie), Graeme (Lindsay), Adam (Stephanie) and Jason (Denise). Cherished great-nanna of 9great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Madge (the late Wally). Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews in Australia. Mona was an avid golfer, loved to knit, was a loyal and devoted fan and season ticket holder of The Sarnia Sting and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Predeceased by her parents James Herbert Merritt (1951) and Ellen (Buchner) Merritt (1960); her 7 siblings Wilbert (Wig) Merritt (2000), Ferne Stephens (1992), Gerald (Bill) Merritt (1980), Kenneth Merritt (2003), Muriel Boggs (2011), James (Max) Merritt (2012), Bruce Merritt (1997); 3 nieces Lorie Harris (1989), Marion and Mary Boggs (1952); 3 nephews Tommy Merritt (1952), Dennis Merritt (1974) and Kevin Slingerland (1996).  Florine was a member of Cottam United Church; Cottam U.C.W.; The Kingsville-Gosfield South Heritage Society; The Kingsville Women’s Institute; Ruthven Rebekah Lodge #178 and was also a United Empire Loyalist.  Friends will be received at the C. Loving father of Susan (Mario) Aquilina, Linda, John (Lis), Janet, Karen (Fred) DeVogel and Bob (Lorraine Browne). Cherished grandfather of 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Ernie served with the RCAF for 25 years, then served many years with the Canadian Coast Guard. He was an avid sailor, musician, amateur radio operator and had a passion for nature. Passed away peacefully at his home in Lakefield, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday February 26, 2014, in his 72nd year.  Loving husband, dad, poppa and best friend to his wife of 45 years, Lynda; his sons Scott (Tara Gabourie), Chris (Michelle Towns), Mike (Angela Dunford) and grandchildren Abby, Gillian, Donovan and Sam.  Loved by his sisters Isobel Wilson (Clark), Doris Bedore (Bryce), Dorothy Park (Scott) and by his brother Gordon (Bonnie).  Remembered by his mother-in-law Ruth Salter and several special nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents Harold & Betty, infant sister Carolyn and father-in-law Vern Warburton.  Friends and relatives may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL on Sunday March 2, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.  A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday March 3, 2014 at 11:00 AM.  A reception will follow in the Heritage Room of the Funeral Home.  Memorial donations may be made to Community Care, Lakefield or the Morton Community Healthcare Centre as expressions of sympathy.  Friends may send condolences by contacting the funeral home at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355.

Elta May  Dixon ( nee Stephenson) in her  90th year, was the beloved wife of the late Clifford Morgan Dixon (2012).  Dear sister of Isobel (Bev) Neill of Cannington. Predeceased by brothers Carl and Ray Stephenson and sister Doreen Mitchell. Dearly remembered by sister-in-law Carolyn Dixon, Joyce Stephenson, Kathy Chatterton, and brother-in-law Lorne G. Dixon. Joseph “Joe” Manninger of Blenheim passed away on February 27, 2014 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance with his family at his side in his 85th year.  Joe was born in Fish Creek, Saskatchewan on March 25, 1929 to his late parents Michael and Margaret (Boyle) Manninger.  He was the beloved husband of the late June (McEachran) Manninger (February 28, 2009), the dearly loved father of Linda Hillman and her husband Russel, step-father of Gail Steen, Mary Louise Clark, John Steen, Greg Steen and his wife Diane.  “Best Papa” in the world to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Dear brother and brother in law of Frank & Marnie Manninger and Mary Manninger of Chatham and the late Marion & Byron Dale, Ted & Rita Manninger, Michael & Barb Manninger, Elizabeth & Frank Grant, George Manninger and Art & MaryAnn Manninger.  He will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews.  In respect of Joe’s wishes, a private family service will be held at the Blenheim Community Funeral Home on Saturday March 1, 2014 with Rev.
