At Watford Quality Care Centre on Thursday, February 28, 2013, Kenneth Macdonald Ferguson, of Alvinston in his 89th year.  Predeceased by his wife Stella and brother Donald and sister Mary Gilroy.  Survived by his sister Jean Lehrbass and brothers Alex and Ralph Ferguson.  Several nieces and nephews and their families also survive.  Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 2 at 11 a.m. at Van Heck Visitation Centre, 3232 River Street, Alvinston, Rev. séguin louisSéguin – Mr Louis from Casselman (originally from Hawkesbury) passed away on Monday, January 16, 2012 at the age of 50. He was the son of Laurier Séguin and of the late Pauline Cloutier; the brother of Michel, Carole (Sylvain Roy) and Jean-Yves; the uncle of Émilie and Francis. He was predeceased by two brothers Pierre and Alain. He is survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends from Cassellman and Hawkesbury.

A resident of Leamington, Abraham Ginter passed away at the Sun Parlor Home for Seniors on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the age of 101. He was born in Russia and was the son of the late Dietrich and Anna (nee Riediger) Ginter. Beloved husband for 67 years to the late Catherine Ginter (nee Heinrichs). Dear father to Deanna and Winston Upcott, Patricia Guerrieri, Dr. Ronald Ginter. Proud grandfather to Laura, Sandra, Pamela, Dean, and Michelle. Great-grandfather to Tricia, Chelsea, Jacob, Gabriel, Maxwell and Simone. Abe was the eldest of eight siblings and is survived by his brother Victor Ginter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Abe was a retired employee of General Motors Transmission Plant in Windsor. He spent many years as a Commercial Fisherman on Pelee Island, a Radio and Television Repair Technician, and in his youth, he performed as an Acrobatic Dancer. Abe had a love of motorcycles, boating and celebrating life. Abe left this world with the firm belief that the moon landings never really happened. A lifelong resident of Chatham, Jack Waggott died peacefully at his residence on Thursday February 28, 2013.  He was born 61 years ago on March 9, 1951, son of Robert Waggott of Chatham, and the late Donna Waggott (2007).  Beloved husband of Judy Waggott for 41 years.  Loving father of Shannon & Don Fraser, and Mike & Michelle Waggott, all of Chatham.  Cherished grandfather Owen and Austin Waggott.  Dear brother of Jill & Kim Cooper of Wheatley, and Jim & Lynne Waggott of Orleans.  Fondly remembered by Judy’s siblings; Carol & Hugh Miller of Chatham, Dennis & Pauline Grant of London, Doug & Giselle Grant of Chatham, and Laurie & Gary Chenier of London, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  Jack was a Life Member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 628 Chatham.  He lived his life to the fullest, and was an avid outdoorsman. Peacefully on Tuesday February 26, 2013 at the General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood following a brief yet valiant fight against cancer, in his 73rd year.  Roy of Wasaga Beach, beloved husband of Ruth (nee Hamilton) for over 48 years.  Loving father of Robert and his wife Tahlia.  Cherished grandfather of Calvin.  Dear cousin of Jack (Carole) Terrell, Ruth (Gord Rae), Leslie Terrell and David Terrell.  Roy will also be missed by his sister-in-law Madeleine Greer, niece Katherine Greer-Hulme (Bradley) and nephew Wayne (Lois) Greer and their families.   Roy was a long time employee of Eaton’s.  He believed in contributing to his community as a member of the Bramalea and the Wasaga Beach Lions Clubs, the Wasaga Garden Club and was a significant contributor to Communities in Bloom.  He will be missed by his family, friends, fellow Lions and his community.  A Celebration of Roy’s life will be held at the Wasaga Beach Lions’ Den, 1724 Mosley Street, Wasaga Beach (at the Rec Plex) on Saturday April 20, 2013 at 1 o’clock.  Arrangements under the direction of the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Wasaga Beach Chapel (705.429.8766) If desired, remembrances to the Intensive Care Unit of the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by Roy’s family. BarattaBARATTA, Lawrence Edward of London passed away peacefully on Monday, February 25, 2013 following a year of bad health due to cancer and the effects of Diabetes, in his 66th year.  Larry, the son of Mary (Guilfoyle) Baratta-Dawkins (2012) and Joseph Baratta (1962) was the owner and operator of Baratta Ventilation for many years.  He leaves his two sons, Christopher (Amanda) of London, and Mark of Toronto, and his darling grandson Tristan who he took such great pride in and loved dearly.  Left behind to mourn him and miss him are his siblings, sister Catherine Murphy of Burlington, and brothers Bernard (Maureen), Frank (Chris), Joseph (Angel), Thomas, and Michael (Chico) (Marg) all of London.  Predeceased by his brother Gerard Baratta (2004).  He will also be missed by more than 50 nieces and nephews and his Aunt Kay Capitano, Mary’s sister.  Larry had many friends and business acquaintances who will feel the void left by his passing. Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, Exeter (1 street west of Main) on Saturday 2-4 and 7-9 PM where the funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 3rd at 2 PM with Pastor Doug Watson officiating.

SHARP, Ogilvie (Gil) – Passed away on February 27, 2013 at the age of 86.  Beloved husband of Rosemary Sharp.  Dear friend of Ken, Helen and Debra Bellefontaine, Sharon Fretz and Earl Chevalier.  Gil was a WWII veteran with the RAF serving in Africa and Cyprus.

Cremation has taken place.  A private interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery.  For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to Heart Niagara through MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME 5917 Main Street.

91 years, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 22, 2013 at the Sun Parlor Home in Leamington. Beloved husband of the late Anne (2008). Loving father of Judy Greenwood (Bob), Patrick McQueen (Maria), Cheryl McQueen, Mary Jane Weingott (Simon) and loving step-father of Pat Whittle (Keith), Michael Cincurak (Christina), Helen Symons (Garry), Mark Cincurak (Wendy), Kathy Faubert (Duane). Special grandfather to 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Survived by step-sister Lois Hudvagner (Tony) and brother-in-law John Konecnik. Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by siblings Bernice Froehlich (Lloyd), Balfour McQueen (Jean), Peregrine McQueen, Betty Ouellette (Del), Lorraine Skov (Erick). Hadley owned and operated McQueen Brothers Machine & Welding for many years. He was a proud veteran of World War II serving with the Royal Canadian Navy, based out of Halifax. Hadley was a long standing member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 84, Leamington. Hadley was a charter member of St. Michael’s Council 4501 Knights of Columbus. Stuart, Charles WEBStuart, Charles –  Peacefully, surrounded by his family at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, Charles “Chuck” Stuart in his 102nd year.  Loving husband of Margaret “Peggy” Stuart (nee Richardson).  Beloved father of Carol (Don) Langford, Lois (Al) Woolnough, Judy (Don) McCulloch and Wendy (Rick) McGregor.  Dear grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.  Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and extended family.  Predeceased by great granddaughters Abby Anne Langford and Mya Isabel McCulloch.  Cremation has taken place.  A celebration of life will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Sunday, March 3rd at 1:00 pm. Visitation from 12 to 1 pm. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.  A tree will be planted as a living memorial to Chuck.
