Mother of Brian and his wife Brigit, and Barry and his wife Donna. Proud Grandma to Graham, Kevin and Jason Anness.   She was predeceased by her brother Eldon.

Friends will be received at the Port Elgin Chapel of the T.A. Brown Funeral Home, 510 Mill Street, 519-832-2222, on Thursday, January 3rd, 2013 from 7 – 9pm.  A funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Friday, at 11am with Pastor Bob Johnston officiating.  A spring interment will take place at Sanctuary Park Cemetery.

Louise Collard 002COLLARD, Mrs. Louise (nee Silcox), of Longfields Manor, Nepean, ON, a former resident of Knoll Haven Farm, Frome, passed away at her late residence on Sunday, December 30, 2012, in her 85th year.  Beloved wife for 57 years to the late Albert H. Collard (2008).  Dearly loved mother of Vicki McTaggart and her husband Rick of Ottawa, and Elizabeth De Mos and her husband Dan of Manotick.  Cherished grandmother of Scott McTaggart, Eric De Mos, and Andrew De Mos.  Dear sister of Bob Silcox and his wife Ruby of R.R.#3, Shedden, Jim Silcox and his wife Helen of Talbotville, and the late John  Silcox (2008).  Also remembered by sister-in-law, Lorna Collard of R.R.#3, Shedden, and many nieces and nephews.  Born in St. Thomas, August 17, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Claris and Mary (nee McTavish) Silcox.  Louise formerly taught primary school and was also a professional seamstress for a number of years, having created bride’s dresses for many area women.  She was a member of Frome United Church, where she was a life member of the U.C.W.  Louise was also a former long-time 4-H Homemaking Club leader.  A service of remembrance to celebrate Louise’s life will be held at the Southwold Keystone Complex, 35921 Talbot Line, Shedden on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.  Mrs. Collard’s niece, Rev. Joan Silcox-Smith will officiate.  A reception will immediately follow the service.  Private interment will be made in Fingal Cemetery.  If so desired, memorial donations to  the Alzheimer Society, Parkinson Society Canada or Frome United Church will be appreciated.  Arrangements entrusted to the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160).

Goodridge Press Photo 1Goodridge, Elizabeth “Edna” (Formerly Pretty, nee Boyd) – With a heart full of happy memories we announce the passing of Elizabeth “Edna” Goodridge on Monday, December 31st, 2012 in her 91st year.  Above all else, she understood the value of family.  Daughter of the late Potter and Eleanor (nee Ireland) Boyd.  Wife of the late William Pretty and the late Sydney Goodridge.  Dear mother of Janet Pretty of Victoria, BC and Joan Vidito of Belleville.  Stepmother of Joan (Bob) Farrell and Linda Johnson both of Panama.  Loving Nan to Tara (Adam) Reid of Brighton, Reagh (Rachel) Vidito of Charlottetown, PE, Sean (Stephanie) Farrell of Ottawa and Christopher (Robyn) Farrell of Toronto.  Great Nan to Connor, Christian and Jaxen Reid, Will and Katie Vidito, Evan Farrell, Addison and Chloe Farrell.  Edna is survived by her sister Eunice Schrader of Perth.  Special aunt to Bob (Kathy) Schrader, Linda Brown, John Boyd and Debbie Toy. Godmother of Wendy Boyd.  Edna will be fondly remembered and missed by her many friends and family. She is predeceased by her brothers, Walter and Earl Boyd, by her sister, Audrey Boyd, and by brother-in-law, Donald Schrader.

Died peacefully, in Brockville on Monday December 24, 2012, Margaret (Hunter) Millinchamp, formerly of the Eastern Townships, QC, in her 100th year.  Beloved wife of the late Robert Millinchamp.  Loving mother of Janet Surrett and her life partner Roy Parkes of Goose Rocks Beach, Maine and Pamela Tomlinson and her husband Larry of Chateauguay, Quebec.  Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.  Margaret was predeceased by her infant son Peter and son in law John Surrett.  Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

It is with great sorLAROCQUE, Earlrow that the family announces his passing in Sudbury on Friday, December 28th, 2012 at the age of 86 years. Son of the late James and of the late Sadie (née Amyotte) Larocque. Beloved husband of 63 years to Thérèse (née Aubin) Larocque of Azilda. Loving father of Denis Larocque (Louise), Pauline Yarkie (Herman), Lilianne Kirkey (Raymond), Michel Larocque (Joanne), Nicole Heikkinen (Heikki), Monique Gravelle (Gilles), Colette Rainville (Gilles) and Carole Nelson (Gary). Cherished grandfather of 23 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 1 fifth generation granddaughter. Dear brother of Gertrude Paquette (late Albert), Yvon Larocque (Brenda), Réjean Larocque (Simone) and René Larocque (late Jacqueline). Predeceased by his siblings; Roland Larocque, Yvette Gagnon, Juliette Labelle, Jacques Larocque (Louiselle), Marcel Larocque, Rachelle Larocque, Rolande Larocque and André Larocque. Earl was a member of the Knight of Columbus 3rd  Degree council 6258 and a Sir Knight of the Mgr. Adolphe Proulx 4th  Degree Assembly. He also worked at Falconbridge Limited and retired in 1982. He will be sadly missed by his extended family and many friends. Predeceased by her loving husband Ivan Hill Vanstone (1987). Survived by her sister Jean Ford of Edmonton, Alberta. Will be missed by her nephews Warren Brander (Muriel ) of Corunna and Alec Brander (Laurie) of Sarnia, Lynnwood Brander (Norma) of Sarnia, Terrance Brander of Sarnia. Predeceased by her parents Hugh and Sarah Kennedy, siblings; Mary Slade (1996), Kathleen Moore, Florence Brander (2010). Funeral Services will be held from the chapel of the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME and CREMATION CENTRE , 102 N. Victoria Street, Sarnia, ON on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Born August 12th, 1930. Chesley passed away peacefully at the Maison Vale Hospice, December 28, 2012 at the age of 82 years. Loving husband of 57 years to Olive March (née Peckford). Beloved father of Judy Hemeon (Norris), Bonnie Holmes (Kerry), Freeman, Calvin, Clifford (Corina), Wade (Kim) and Chesley Jr. (Debbie). Lovingly remembered by his 18 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.  Sadly missed by family, friends, nieces and nephews. The special bond shared between his nieces Freda and Ruby will last forever. At Chesley’s request there will be no visitation or service. CameronCAMERON, Timothy Gordon – Peacefully, after a brief struggle with cancer surrounded by his family at St. Joseph’s Hospice on the morning of Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the age of 60. Loving father of Kirstyn, Jordan, Brittany and Alyssia Cameron, all of Ottawa. Brother of Duncan Cameron, Sarnia. Nephew of Don McIntyre, Sarnia. Predeceased by parents Dr. Duncan & Diane Cameron and brother Paul Cameron. Tim’s greatest joy was his children.  He had a strong work ethic and took much pride in his many years of working for the City of Sarnia.   Cremation has taken place.  A celebration of Tim’s life will be held in August 2013 with details to be announced.
