Carr – Joan of St. Thomas passed away peacefully at her late residence on Friday, November 30th, 2012 in her 81st year. Beloved wife of the late William Carr (2010) and loved mother of Mary Hancock of Kitchener and Bill (Kayla) Carr of St. Thomas. Loving grandmother of Ange Carr (Kirk) of Fingal, Brad Carr (Natalie) of St. Thomas, Sarah Conley (Nathan) of Listowel, and Jessica Hancock of Brampton and great grandmother of Zachary, Kaden, Jack, Lily, and Grayson. Dear sister of Eleanor (William) Blewitt of St. Thomas and the late Corrine Watson. Lovingly remember by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Joan was born in St. Thomas on September 22nd, 1932, daughter of the late John and Ruth Light.

Loved brother of Cheryl Evans (Mark), Nancy Williams (late Jack Sadler), Robert Steven and Lauri Bailey (Robert). Dear nephew of Harold and Jacqueline Pitts and cousin to Steven and Dee-Anne. Sadly missed by a number of in-laws. Dear friend of Clare and Sonia Birmingham. Jack was born in Cornwall on May 12th, 1964. He worked at Micro Age, London.

Burger, Margaret E. “Marg” (Renaud) of Elgin Manor, passed away on Thursday, November 29th, 2012, at her late residence, peacefully, in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late John “Jack” Burger (nee Schnekenburger) and dearly loved mother of Mary Theriault (Joe), Bill Burger (Shirley), Judy Clathworthy (Pete), all of Sarnia, Pat Abdey (Bob) of St. Thomas, Ray Burger (Sara) of Sarnia, Michael Burger (Debra) of Bridgenorth, the late Virginia Tezlaff and son-in-law Tim of Sault Ste Marie and Bob Burger (Micki) of St. Thomas. Dear sister of the late Jack Renaud , Lorraine Hasker (Ray) of Sunnyvale, California, Gordon Renaud (Bonnie) and the late Art Renaud and sister-in-law of Joan, all of Windsor. Sadly missed by 20 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews and cousins plus many friends. She was a loving and caring person, who always trusted in the Lord. Margaret was born in Windsor on June 16th, 1922, the daughter of the late Raymond and Lena (Schmidt) Renaud. She was a member of St. Anne’s Church, the Catholic Women’s League and the Ladies Guild of the Knights of Columbus.

Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas until Monday morning and then to St. Anne’s Church where Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Holy Angels’ Cemetery. Beloved wife of the late Jose Alcaidinho (1997). Dear mother of Louisa (Horacio) De Sousa, Joe ( Antonia) Alcaidinho, Catherine (Manuel) Silva, Maria Carmen (Roy) Armas, Tony (Ruth) Alcaidinho and Elizabeth (Norman Glazer) McInnis. With sadness we announce the death of Sadie E. Brownell on Wednesday November 28th,2012 at 103 years of age. Sadie was predeceased by her husband, Hardy, in 1976. She will be missed by her daughter, Shirley Morrison (Gordon), her grandchildren, Darryl (Joan) and Kerri (Tyler McCabe) and her two great- granddaughters, Megan and Addyson. Sadie and her sister Mary, Stoney Creek, were the only remaining members of her family of eight, as well she is survived by many nieces and nephews. It is with great sadness that the family of Mrs. Cairine Ingold of Ottawa announces her peaceful passing on Friday, November 30th, 2012. Cairine, a graduate of Carleton University, was elected Queen of Queen’s University, and was the beloved Queen and wife of 56 years to Dr. Keith Ingold and daughter of the late Carmen (Neale) and Frank Hodgkin. She is predeceased by son Christopher, and will be greatly missed by son John (Karen) Ingold of Ajax and daughter Diana (Brian) Pratt of Manotick. She was the loving grandmother to Scott, Andrew, Jeffrey, and Laura Ingold, and Michelle and Sean Pratt. A member of the Ottawa Hunt & Golf Club for over 50 years, her death on St. Andrew’s Day, ensures she went straight to golf heaven as was her stated wish! A private service will follow. Cairine enjoyed life to its fullest. She travelled extensively with Keith and her children, and enjoyed hosting parties both at home and abroad. Thank you to the staff of Carleton Lodge and Prince of Wales Manor for their kindness and care. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Arthritis Society and Ottawa Mission would be appreciated.

Ruth passed away on 27 Nov. at her home in Ottawa just a few months short of her 95th birthday. Predeceased by her five siblings and her husband Allan of almost 50 years and survived by her daughter Kathy (Doug), son Carl (Laurie), four grandsons and five great grandchildren. Ruth worked for many years in the Federal Government with perhaps her most memorable time spent at External Affairs during WW2. She also thoroughly enjoyed living out-of-country due to Allan’s RCAF postings to Germany and Washington, D.C. She was a loving wife, wonderful mother and generally just a great person that will be sadly missed by all those who had met her. Special thanks to her friends and staff at the Alta Vista Manor. Surrounded by his loving family, friends and neighbours at his home, Kevin Howard “Hutch” Hutchings passed away at the age of 53, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Veronie Hutchings for 29 years. Loving father of Ryan Hutchings (Siona Stenhouse) and Alicia Hutchings (Jorge Gutierrez-Solana). Cherished son of Ray and Helen Hutchings. Dear brother of Doug (Leslie) Hutchings, and Leanne (Mike) Lathem. Sadly missed by his Aunt Nancy and Uncle Blake Peters. LIVINGSTON, Harry Buie of Angus passed away peacefully at Leisure World Creemore on Thursday November 29th in his 96th year. Son of the late Gertrude and Earl Livingston. Beloved husband of the late Molly Livingston. Dear father of Ruth and Lou Doucet. Harry was a proud and devoted Gramps to Michael (Kate), Debora (Ike), Sharon (Lee) and Jason. Poppa Harry will be missed by 10 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Harry is pre-deceased by sister, Mary and brother, W.C. (Dick).
Harry will always be remembered for his kind, gentle manner and his passion for sports. Harry was especially proud to be a part of the Barrie Colts Junior’s Champions 1935. Harry was an avid golfer and horse trainor.

John worked many years to provide assistance for people, working with services such as Browndale, Catulta-Tamarack and Men’s Work Counselling. Dear brother of Marjorie Procter of Brantford and Barb (Stan) Oswald of Brantford. He was predeceased by siblings Jeanette, Eric, Madeline, Joyce , Paul and by a son Wesley. Kenneth was born August 22, 1941 in Brantford, the son of the late Jessie Procter and Frederick McKnight. He was a retired paramedic and he was a member of Grace United Church.

Granger, Gloria Mildred of Extendicare, Port Stanley and formerly of St. Thomas, passed away on Saturday, November 24th, 2012, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, peacefully in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late William Harvey Granger and much loved mother of Harvey and his wife Penny Granger and William and his wife Kathleen Granger, all of St. Thomas. Loved grandmother of Julie Allen (Rob),Amanda Stajan (Dave), Rachel Derbyshire (Tom), Late Rebekah, Robin Granger (Lindsay), Hope Stewart (Gordon), and William Granger (Nancy) and great grandmother of Aaron, Matthew, Oscar, Isaac, Xander, Joseph, Daphne, Ainsley, Olivia, Abigail, Abigayle, Collin, Evelyn and William. Dear sister of Clarence Vankoughnett (Shirley) of St. Thomas , Joyce Steeves of Parry Sound, Eleanor Vankoughnett (John) of Nobel and Joseph Vankoughett of Parry Sound. Predeceased by sisters Ruby Vowels (husband Ted) of Parry Sound and Mary Barbour and by brothers Larry Vankoughnett (wife Mary) of St. Thomas, Bob (wife Betty) Vankoughnett of St. Thomas, John and Lloyd Vankoughnett. Sadly missed by a number of nieces and nephews. Gloria was born on July 25th, 1928, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Mildred Vankoughnett. She worked at St. Thomas Metal Signs, Hartz Mountain and Parkspin. Gloria was a member of Central United Church.

Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Elmdale Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the C.N.I.B.

Peacefully at the Thessalon Hospital on Thursday November 29, 2012.  Richard Stobie of Desbarats in his 85th year, beloved husband of Eunice Stobie ( nee. Bell ).  Loving father of Sylvia of Sault Ste. Marie, Brenda  Lewis ( Len ) of Echo Bay, Phyllis Stobie  ( Charles Donovan ) of Desbarats, Rick of Thunder Bay, David ( Tina ) of Gordon Lake and Faye McLeod ( Grant ) of Sault Ste. Marie.  Special Grandpa to Violet, Jason, Amanda, Jordan, Austin, Dylen ,Derrick, Samantha, Connor, Riley and the late Richard and great grandpa to Shea-Lynn, Gavin, Jaryd, Hunter, Breanna, Zachariah and Michael.  Dear brother of the late Amanda, Ambert, Jack, Lloyd, Jean, Catherine and Cora.  Dear brother-in-law of Laddie Bell, Ellwood Bell, Connie Summers, Pat Taylor, Karen Gallivan and the late Earl and Reggie Bell.  Also uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.  Friends may call at the Beggs Funeral Home, Thessalon on Sunday December 2, 2012 from 7 to 9pm.  Funeral service in the chapel on Monday December 3, 2012 at 10 o’clock.  Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Gordon Lake.  Donations to the Thessalon Hospital gratefully accepted.  www.beggsfh.com

TALBOT: Doyle J. E. of Exeter and formerly of RR 1 Dashwood

Peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, went to be with his son Brian, on Friday, November 30, 2012 of Exeter and formerly of Lakewood Gardens in his 74th year.  Beloved husband of Joan (Sallows) Talbot for 51 years.  Dear father and father-in-law of Michael and Susan Talbot of Kingston and Dannette Talbot of Exeter.  Dear grandfather of Matthew and Megan; and Braden.  Predeceased by his son Brian (1997) and his sister Rosemarie Taman (2009).

Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, Exeter (1 street west of Main) on Monday evening 7-9 PM where the complete funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 4th at 11 AM. Cremation with interment Exeter Cemetery.

McCLELLAND, Timothy Roger

March 16, 1945 – November 28, 2012

After a lengthy illness, Tim McClelland passed away at the age of 67 years, leaving behind longtime partner for 29 years, Linda Lonergan.  Dear father of Shawnene and Meaghan (Dan Ciavattone) McClelland and his furry four legged friend “Trish”.  Tim will also be missed by Kelli, Adam, Emily and Ryan Semark, and Pat Chodak.  Predeceased by his mother Matilda “Matty” McClelland.  Tim was retired from CyroCanadaand enjoyed a career in real estate. 

As per Tim’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  Family will receive friends at the MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, on Tuesday December 4th from 10-12 o’clock.  A celebration of his life will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 12 noon.  As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Tender Wishes.
