Douglas Harold Jewell, in his 95th year, has gone to be with his loving wife and friend of 65 years, Marguerite Louise (Grice) Jewell (2005). Loving father to Edward and his wife Leona of Windsor, Kevin and his wife Wendy of Windsor, Debra Farrer and her husband Alan of Kenora, and Sue St. Pierre and her husband Marc of Windsor. Dear brother of the late Jean Moore (2004). Dear son of the late Harry (1982) Jewell, and Edna May (1968). Adored grandfather of Marie Sove and husband David, Rachel Fraser and husband Paul, Sarah Dupuis and husband Russell, Stephen, David, and Kathy Jewell, Derek Farrer and his wife Heather, Lyndsay Dewitt and husband T.J., Amanda and Megan Girard, Jacqueline Lewis, Collette St. Pierre and her partner Steve, and Marc St. Pierre and his partner Pietro . Great Grandfather of Conner, Adia, Sadie, Abbey, Julia, and Madison. Born in St. Thomas, July 11, 1917, Harold worked for the New York Central Railway. He was a member of the Canadian Armed Forces during WWII. After the war, he went back to the railroad and retired as a machinist from Ontario Hydro. BOSMAN, Ruth – At Woodstock Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer, Ruth Olive Bosman (nee Emery and formerly Dobson), a longtime resident of Forest Estates, Woodstock, on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at the age of 69.  Beloved wife of John Bosman.  Loving mother of Garnett Dobson of Ingersoll, John  Dobson (Barb) of Ingersoll, David Bosman (the late Diana Hele) of St. Joseph Island, Margorie Skorich (Tony) of Sault Ste. Langlois Fourth Degree and was a Past Grand Knight of Fr. Nicholas Point Council 4375 Tecumseh Knights of Columbus. Brian was active in the Tecumseh Community and was a long time member of the Committee of Adjustment. 20 years, on May 30, 2012, suddenly as the result of an accident. Beloved son of Richard and the late Mary (2008). Loved big brother of Patrick. Loving boyfriend of Kelly Sampson. Precious grandson of Ethel & the late Bob Austin, and Mike & Anna Kosyk. Much loved nephew of Diane & Paul Loebach, Cathy & Greg Thoman and Mike & Roma Kosyk. Dear cousin of Rob, Lauren, Lexy, Christian, Jonathan, Julia, Andrea and Natalia.  Chris was a graduate of Villanova High School and currently attended Madonna University in Michigan on a golf scholarship. He will be sadly missed by many friends and family who knew and loved him. A special thank you to all the Doctors and staff at Detroit Receiving Hospital for all their heroic efforts in trying to save Chris’ life especially nurses Kelly and Rachael, who never left his side. Predeceased by her son Michael, Dick Copeman, brothers John Murphy (Edith), Dos Murphy and brother-in-law Wilf Birdsell. BAIRD, EDITH KATHLEEN– Died at Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga on Sunday, May 27, 2012.  Born on October 20, 1937 in Pontiac, Michigan, Kathleen was the beloved daughter of Gertrude and Russell Baird (Deceased).  Kathleen was a kind and gentle soul with a deep and resonate faith.  She was a shining example to all as someone who lived her life “Doing unto others as they would have others do unto them”.   She is greatly missed by her sister Mary Carol and brother-in-law Sandy Steele, as well as her nieces and nephews and their families.  Aunt Kathy to Jayne-Ann Steele and her husband Sam Goodwin and their children Alec and Jack, and Aunt Kathy to  Scot Steele and his wife Barbara and their children Jake, Nick and Annie.  In Port Coquitlam, B.C. her brother Jim Baird  (Deceased) and her sister-in-law Maya and their children Cathy and her husband Greg Andrews (Rachael, Alex, Stuart, and Brian) of Maple Ridge, Christina Doyle of Quebec, and Linnea and her husband Thomas Selins (Lucas) of Port Coquitlam.    Kathleen’s family gratefully acknowledges the kindness and care provided by Dr. G. HAZLETT: Joseph Orval age 82  of R. R. # 6 Wallaceburg passed away Wednesday May 30, 2012 at Chatham Kent Health Alliance Sydenham Campus. Born in Meadow Lake Saskatchewan son of the late Russell and Laura Hazlett. Orval was a former member of the Tupperville Fire Department.   He enjoyed participating in tractor pulls, snowmobiling and C.B. radio.  Surviving is his wife Phyllis (Perry) Hazlett, daughters: Catherine Hazlett of Sombra and Kim Stuart of Guelph, a grandson Jamie Drury; sister-in-law Shirley Hazlett of Port Lambton,  brother Harold Hazlett of Oregon and brother-in-law Gordon Lake of B.C.  Predeceased by brothers Roland and Robert, sisters: Mary, Clara, Bella, Elsie and Marguerite. Her husband Robert Harvey  predeceased (2010). Survived by daughters: Beth (husband Tim Robertson) of Oakville, Barbara O’Neill (husband Tom predeceased) of Ridgetown; son: Blaine (wife Joanne Harvey) of Tupperville; grandchildren: Lindsay, Barry & Jeffrey Robertson, Dan, Aaron & Lauren (husband Josh Lucid) O’Neill, Derek & Colin Harvey, great granddaughter Brynn Harvey; sister: Dianne Tiffin of Dresden; brothers: Tom (wife Janet Tiffin) of Dresden & Barry (predeceased 1978);  sister-in-law of Doug & Vera Harvey of Tupperville and Larry & Esther Harvey of Soldotna, Alaska.  Bonnie taught for 28 years at East Sombra Central School. Peacefully at home, surrounded by friends and family on Thursday, May 17, 2012 Deanna Moore in her 73rd year. Loving mother to Tasha Nicol, Scott Nicol and his wife Tanya. Much loved Grama to Taya, Liam and Lucas. Predeceased by husbands Donnie Nicol and Larry Moore. Deanna touched the lives and hearts of many. She will be greatly missed by her brother Frank Blaney and friends Linda and Pat. Deanna loved, laughed and danced her way through life. We are comforted that she will be received by so many. She will continue to dance in our hearts. She was our “Bestest”. Cremation has taken place.

Beloved mother of Sonia (Dino) Coletti and Roberto. Loving and devoted Nonna to Christina, Jessica, Joseph and Alysha. Reunited with her late parents Felice and Clarice Calvani. Dear sister of the late Rosa Calvani (1923), Camillo Calvani (2003), Rita Rezza (2003), Daniele Calvani (2009), Domenica DiGiacomo (2010), Gabriella Antonnicola (2012). Loving sister of Fernanda (Joe) Pedri, and Olderico (Gelmina) Calvani. Dear sister-in-law of Pietro and Maria Sablich, Dario Sablich of Australia and Guido Sablich of Croatia. Maria was devoted to her family. We will miss her cooking, watching her work in the garden, and most of all her unconditional love. Suddenly at Peterborough Regional Hospital on Tuesday May 22nd, 2012, Mary Jackson  (nee Cowell) at 81 years of age.  Loving wife of the late Arthur Jackson.  Dear mother of Ian Brown and step-mother of Brenda Jackson (Jean-Marcel Duciaume) and Karen Matt (Ernie).  Cherished grandmother of Travis, Darcie, Adam, Nicola, Russell, Matthew, Sarah, Chad, Jason, Danielle and Darcy.  Great grandmother of Keven, Alex, Ella, Emelia, Quinn, Willa, Sylvie, Paige, Faith, Manon and great, great grandmother of Rayne.  Mary will be missed by her brother James “Jim” Cowell of England and her many nieces, nephews and close friends.  Visitation will take place at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 11 King St. W.  A resident of Essex, Everett Craig passed away with his family at his side at Hotel-Dieu Grace Hospital in Windsor on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at the age of 85. Born in Ottawa, Everett was the son of the late Samuel and Mary (Stearns) Craig. Beloved husband of the late Doreen Craig (nee Bayliss). Loving father of Carol Craig of Hay River, North West Territories, Judy Paterson (Ian) of Mississauga, Beverley Boyes (Tom Kumagai) of Chatham, Ron Craig (Kelly) of Chatsworth, Barry Craig (Shannon) of Windsor, Sandra Bailey (Dan) of Blyth and Douglas Craig (Marie) of Windsor. Proud grandfather of Jill Smith (Dave), Holly Paterson, Chris Boyes (Lauren), Craig Boyes (Chandelle), Lorna Craig, Kyle Craig, Sara Craig, Edward Craig, James Craig, Simon Craig, Carol Sonnenberg (Matthew), Danaka Bailey, Andrew Bailey, Brianna Craig and Meghan Craig.
