Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at Bluewater Health on Monday, April 30, 2012, Teodolinda “Linda” Pellegrinuzzi passed away at the age of 98. Beloved wife of the late Pietro.  Loving mother of Domenica (Hugh) Evers and Ernesta Pellegrinuzzi (Larry Garrett).  Cherished grandmother of Lea-Ann Evers, Tina (Dan) Bodendistle, Rosanne (Mark) David, Johan Hecimovich (Jennifer), Linda Hecimovich, Bobbi-Lee (Jeff) Fournie and Kristina (Dean) Connors.  Great-grandmother of Liam, Hannah, Thomas, Haley, Megan, Brendan, Brett, Kassidy, Robbie and Kadence.  Survived by several nieces and nephews in Italy, France and Argentina.  Predeceased by her two brothers.  Linda was a member of the Catholic Women’s League of St. Joseph’s and St. Peter’s Churches.  She loved life and lived it to the fullest. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, with prayers being offered at 8:00 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2012, at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 293 Stuart St., Sarnia.  Interment to follow in Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. Passed away peacefully at Vision Nursing Home on Sunday, April 29, 2012.  Beloved husband of the late Phyllis (Capper) for 50 years.  Jim will be missed by his three daughters, Ruth Moore (Will Allison), Janet Knight (John Sundby) and Margaret “Maggie” (Bill Kroes).  Jim is also survived by his grandchildren; Kevin Knight (Joleen), Jackie Moore and Brian Moore and, great-grandchildren, Dylan, Caleb and Gracie Knight.  Jim was predeceased by his parents John and Isabella, brother John, and sister Isobel Spearman.  He will be missed by his nephew Paul Spearman (Cindy) and niece Sue Goossens (Brian) and their families.  Jim served in WWII as a medic in the #10 General Hospital Unit.  He was a longtime member of Dunlop United Church where he spent many years as a Cub and Scout Leader.  Jim was a gentle man who was looked up to by all his family and friends.  Cremation will take place.  A memorial service will be held to celebrate Jim’s life at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia on Thursday, May 3, 2012, at 1:00 p.m., with family and friends being received from 12 noon until the service commences at 1:00.  Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Vision Nursing Home, Dunlop United Church or the charity of your choice (cheques only at the funeral home please).  Memories and condolences may be sent online at http://www.smithfuneralhome.ca/obits.php?id=2231

POPP, Bernhard “Ben”, of R.R.#3, St. Thomas, passed away at LHSC, University Hospital on Friday, April 27, 2012, in his 77th year.  Husband of Hilde (nee Klaus) Popp.  Father of Jannette Popp, at home, Bernhard Popp of St. Thomas, and Elke Popp-Legatto (Andrew) of Thornton.  Grandfather of Emery, Phelan and Jaxson.  Brother of Rudolf, Irmgard, Anni, Herman, and Karla.  Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by a sister, Herta, and four brothers, Friedrich, Wilhelm, Martin and Werner.  Born in Germany, February 11, 1936, he was the son of the late Martin and Jannette (nee Janssen) Popp.  Ben was a retired millwright/welder at Timken Canada, St. Thomas and a former ship builder in Germany. His greatest passions were his wife, children, farming and racing pigeons.  He was a member of the Canadian Racing Pigeon Union and a Past President of the German Canadian Club of St. Thomas.  In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no public visitation.  A private service for immediate family will be held at a later date.  Memorial donations to Special Olympics Ontario-St. Thomas, or the Alzheimer Society of Elgin-St. Thomas gratefully acknowledged.  Our sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses, staff, and volunteers at London Regional Mental Health Care and University Hospital for their compassion and care.  Arrangements entrusted to the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160).

 A resident of Ridgetown, John McKenzie passed away suddenly in Warren, Michiganon Sunday, April 29, 2012 at the age of 70. John was the son of the late Roy and May (Poag) McKenzie. Loving father of Ann McKenzie of Chatham. Survived by his sister Mary Jean Duke of Sarniaand his nephews Ron, Dan and Mark Cook. John enjoyed the serenity of nature, and loved to fish and take nature walks. John had worked for Chrysler for 25 years and ran his own body shop where he specialized in custom painting. Passed away peacefully, in his 91st year, at the Golden Dawn Nursing Home in Lions Head on Saturday, April 28, 2012.  JOHN GAUNT was of Tobermory and was formerly of Petrolia.  Born in Petrolia, John was the son of the late Franklin and Mabel Gaunt.  He is survived by his loving wife Jean (nee Turner).  He was predeceased by his brothers Frank (1990) and his wife Irene (2010), and Ron (2010).  He will also be missed by his niece Melanie and Barclay Jamieson and many other nieces and nephews.  A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2012 from the NEEDHAM-JAY FUNERAL HOME, Petrolia, where visitors will be received beginning at 12:00 noon until the service time at 1:00 p.m.  Rev. Peacefully on April 28, 2012 with his family by his side. Loving father of Tracy Urquhart and Michelle Poupard. Beloved son of Bernadette (nee Benoit) and the late Ray (2000). Dear brother of Mark, Wayne and Jeanine, Beverly and Kevin and Alice. Dear uncle of Brad and Demara, Brenda, Tony and Michael. He will be missed by many aunts and cousins. Moe retired from Martinrea (Fabco) and was a Past Grand Knight and active member of the Fr. Nicholas Point Council 4375 Knights of Columbus and was a long time member of R.C. Legion Branch 261. Peacefully on April 28, 2012 at the age of 85. Wife of the late Gerald (1983). Loving mom of Gale & Mike Timm, Glen Cooper & Ron Bitto. Devoted grandmother of Greg Timm (Gabby), Andrew Timm (Jamie) and great-grandmother of Brooke-Lynn and Payten. Special Gramma Cooper of Eric and Adam Timm. Dear sister of Nell Macintosh (1994), William (2005) & Bea Moore (2012), Owen Moore (1997) and Ted Moore of England. Special aunt of many nieces and nephews. Close companion of Val Beck. Jeannette worked as an administrator for Ford Motor Company for many years, before retiring from Big V Pharmacies after 26 years of dedicated service. Donations made to the Kidney Foundation or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. A private visitation was held. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Saturday, May 26 at 2 p.m. for a graveside interment. Peacefully at Bonnie Brae Nursing Home, Tavistock on Saturday, December 24, 2011, Lloyd George Bruce of RR 7, Woodstock, in his 91st year.  Beloved husband of Patricia (nee Miller).  Dear father of David (Kathy) of Stratford, Rock (Kathryn) of Woodstock, and Mark of RR 7, Woodstock.  Grandfather of Mitchell, Robert, Derek and Kevin.  Brother-in-law of Irene Baer, Don Miller (JoanAnn), and Eleanor Miller.  George will also be remembered by Mildred Langdon and his nine nieces and five nephews.  Predeceased by his brothers Fred and Edwin, sisters Clara and Elsie, and brother-in-law Frank Baer.  A Service of Remembrance will be held at the Smith-LeRoy Funeral Home, 69 Wellington Street North, Woodstock on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 2:00 pm.  Interment at Innerkip Cemetery.  If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Pavey, Randy Lee
At his home in Dutton, on Friday, April 13, 2012, Randy Lee Pavey in his 56th year.  Predeceased by his parents Bert and Dolores Pavey and brother Frank.  Survived by his brother, Doug Pavey of Dutton, 2 sons; Johnathon Pavey and Randy Lee Pavey and 3 half brothers, Kevin, Danny and Kenny Rowland.  Fondly remembered by Ronnalee Belbeck and her son Justin.  In keeping with Randy’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  A memorial service will be held on Wednesday April, 18 at 11 AM at the Van Heck Visitation Centre, 3232 River Street, Alvinston.  Visitation the hour prior to the service.  Interment to follow at the Alvinston Cemetery.  www.vanheckfuneralhome.ca
