Also survived by 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Special uncle of Barbara and Bob and Robert Meyers. Dear brother of Marjorie Radford of Detroit, Mickey Taylor of Chateauguay, Quebec, Stanley Taylor of Mississauga and Margaret Finley of Windsor. Predeceased by a daughter Hazel, a son Thomas and siblings Mary Crittenden, Michael Taylor, Albirchie Finley, Abraham Taylor, Johnny Taylor, Charles Taylor and Eugene Taylor.

Passed away peacefully at Bluewater Health on Sunday, January 15th, 2012 in her 51st year. Loving wife of Brian Smith. Dear mother of Heather (Ben), Daniel and Kevin (Kelli).

Daughter of Case and the late Adriana Smeekens (2006). Marieta will be dearly missed by her sisters and brother, Jenny and Curt Sloan , Frank Smeekens, Connie and Steve Marshall, Wilma and Leon Zerko, JoAnne and Scott Marshall and Laurette and Ron Jones.

Daughter-in-law of Don and Helen Smith. Marieta was a special sister-in-law to Janice Smith and Ron King, Sheila and Dennis Kerrigan, Wendy and Brad Wilson and Shana Smith.

Cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the staff of the Regional Cancer Clinic at London Health Sciences Centre, Palliative Medicine at Bluewater Health and the V.O.N. (Ellen and Joyce) for their compassionate care. We also thank Dr. Dostaler for her dedication and for always supporting and advocating for Marieta.

Peacefully, at home and surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday morning, January 10th, 2012. Cory Lee Kentner of St. Thomas in his 42nd year. Lovingly remembered by his wife Kari and dear father of Niki Kentner, Shelby Ritchie, Shianne Ritchie and Joshua Kentner. Cory is the beloved son of Wayne and Maxine Kentner and brother of Connie (Daryl) Clarke and David Kentner. Cory was the proud grandfather of Daniel Prow. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cory was an IT Manager for many years. He faced his illness and death with a great deal of dignity and grace.

“Bricklayer Extraordinaire”

In the care of his family and special friends, Bronko passed away with peaceful dignity on Thursday morning in London’s University Hospital. Bronko was adored by many but will be especially missed and lovingly remembered by his long-time partner Cindy, daughter Danielle and sister Marina. He is also survived by his parents, Ivan and Ljubica Vinski of Kitchener, many aunts, uncles, cousins and an extended family of wonderful friends.

Born in Croatia, he arrived in Canada as a toddler. After perfecting his masonry skills, he often enjoyed life as an entrepeneur. Bronko was an avid golfer, a fun-loving co-worker, an exceptional friend and B-Bop’s doting father. His quirky spirit and enthusiasm for life will forever be remembered by us all.

At LHSC-Victoria Hospital, London on Monday, January 2, 2012  in his 69th year.  Beloved husband of the late Patricia (Tuttle) Northover (2006).  Predeceased by his son Stephen (1969) and his daughter Michelle (2004).  Dear son of Thelma (Elliott) Northover of London and the late Les Northover (1991).  Dear brother and brother-in-law of Paul and Freda Northover and uncle to Mark of London. Brother-in-law to Jane and Victor Mancini of Burlington, Midge and Jim Dickenson of Middlesex Centre and Donna Brewer of Burlington and their families.  Les will be sadly missed by his aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Thursday evening 7-9 PM,  where the funeral service will be held on Friday, January 6th at 11 AM.  Cremation with interment St. James Cemetery, Clandeboye.

There will be a Lions Service in the funeral home on Thursday evening at 6:30 PM under the auspices of the Lucan and District Lions Club.

At South Huron Hospital, Exeter on Monday, January 2, 2012 in her 80th year.  Beloved wife of Robert (Bob) Luxton.  Dear mother of Jean Taylor and Jamie Regier of Mount Carmel, Joanne and Dale Sweiger of Crediton, Dave and Bonnie Luxton of West Branch, N.S., Doug and Darlene Luxton of Kitchener and Dan Luxton and Angela Liehmann of Exeter.  Dear grandmother of Jenn; Nathan and Amanda; and Cassie and Breanna.

Helen McKinnon of Hensall formerly of Peterborough and Toronto

Born on October 1, 1913 in Kenora, Ontario, died peacefully in Hensall on December 29, 2011. Helen was one of seven siblings and was predeceased by her father Hugh Bathgate McKinnon and mother Edna McKinnon, brothers Hugh, Billie and Ed, sisters Dorothy Higginson and Monica Jackson. Helen will be deeply missed by her sister Lorna Cooke Tetro, plus her many nieces and nephews from the McKinnon, Cooke, Jackson, Dalton families.

Helen’s family moved to Ottawa in 1945 when her father became the MP from Kenora / Rainy River in McKenzie King’s parliament. After 5 years in Ottawa Helen started a career as a civil servant in Toronto. She was a long time resident at the Empress in Peterborough before moving to Hensall this year. Helen lived a healthy, graceful life and was greatly admired by her family.

Cremation.   A private family ceremony will be held in the spring.

Dear grandmother of Kyle, Jessie; Jason, Cory, Daniel; Karl and Mandy, Jackie, Connor; Lucas, Samantha; and great-grandmother of Jackson.
