Suddenly as result of an accident east of Montreal on Tuesday, November 1st, 2011, Ryan William Kapala, formerly of Watford, at age 28. Ryan is survived by his parents Linda (Don) Burns and Ron (Kim) Kapala. Ryan will be sadly missed by siblings Dayna (James) Turner, Ashley (Mike) Burns and Craig Burns; Brooke Kapala, Dayna Holly Kapala and Derek Kapala. At the Victoria Campus of London Health Sciences Centre on Tuesday, November 1st with his family at his side, John “Neil” Gordon of London in his 77th year. Neil is survived by his loving wife Barbara Jean Gordon (nee Hunniford-Sharpe) of 29 years and by children Donald and Lois Hersey (Gordon), Scott Gordon and Leanna Martin, Jim and Marilee Sharpe, David Sharpe and Heather Cassidy and Diane and Kevin Jefferson. Neil will be sadly missed by his sisters Marian (Grant) Rumford and Ruth (Bob) Munro and predeceased by brother Robert Gordon and by sister Eleanor Gordon. Neil is remembered by all his loving grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Neil was a long time employee of Westinghouse in London.

The family of Linda Lee Shervill is sad to announce her passing at Parkwood Hospital, London on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at age 58. Lee was predeceased by her loving mother Irene (November 19, 2010). She is survived by her father Robert (Bob) N. Shervill and her brothers Lynn (Sheila Peters), Paul (Linda) and Rob (Marlyn). Missed by her nieces and nephews Daniel, Michael (Ali), Christopher, Jessica and Tammie (Ken) and great-niece Shaelene. Many thanks to the staff in 3B West at Parkwood Hospital for their compassionate care of Lee over the past 26 years.

Lovingly remembered by his sons Robert (Helen) of Sarnia, Tony (Joan) of Dorchester and David (Mina) of Hamilton. Dear grandfather of Suzanne (George), Cynthia (Arthur), Patty, Mark (Janis), Jessica and Kevin and great grandfather of Kara, Renee, Jasmine and Sebastian. Survived by his sister in law Anne Witzel, brother in law Joe (Sylvia) Fischer and many nieces and nephews. Steve came to Canada from Yugoslavia in 1928 and farmed for most of his life. He also worked at Milner-Rigsby. He will be sadly missed by his many friends in West Elgin.

Jean R. (nee McGill) Edwards of Watford formerly of Sarnia

Passed away peacefully at Watford Quality Care, Watford, on Tuesday, October 11, 2011, in her 89th year. She is survived by her children Rick Mitchell of Watford, and Jan (Cary) Adams of Oklahoma City, and Joan Westgate (Jerry) of Watford, and Brian (Caren) Edwards of Beamsville. Grandma Jean is also survived by seven grandchildren, Tracey (Frank) Dorman, Terri-Ann Westgate, Trisha Westgate, Ashley Peters (Tim), Jaime (J.) Ricard, Jalene Mitchell (Shawn), Jariott Mitchell, Cassie Edwards. Proud great grandma of Kirklin and Scott Dorman, Max Westgate, Hunter and Harleigh Mitchell-Hilman, Jada Muxlow and Donavan Ricard, Anthony Newman, Christopher and Lindsey Peters.

Jean served in WWII as a sergeant stationed in Ottawa. On return from this service she moved to Watford and married Robert Mitchell where together they built their home on Huron Street and lived there until Robert’s passing in 1983. Jean was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Watford Branch #172 and served as Women’s Auxiliary President from 1985-86. Jean was the first female councilor for Watford during 1971-73 and was proud to represent her community.

In 1987, Jean married her high school sweetheart, Walter “Ray” Edwards. They moved to an apartment in Sarnia where they loved to entertain their friends and family. Jean loved to play games with her grandchildren, great-grandcihldren and her nieces and nephews and often would take them to Canatara Park for visits.

father of the late Bill Cole and father in law of Rilla Cole. Loved grandfather
of Michael Cole of Glencoe and Brian Cole (Nicole) of Watford. Great
grandfather of Jackson, Aaliyah, and Briley, all of Watford. Predeceased by his
sister Florence Kellestine (late Hugh), and his brothers Don, Ernie (Betty),
and Jim (Ivy). Fred is survived by his sister in law Marion Cole, and will also
remembered his many nieces, nephews, and good friends.

At Fred’s request, cremation has taken place. A family gathering will be
planned at a later date at Melbourne Cemetery. For those who wish, donations to
the Alzheimer Society or to Watford Quality Care would be appreciated by the
